I Have a 1974 VW Thing that I purchased from a Senior Citizen in Sun City, and he purchased from his friend 10 years ago when his friend was a senior citizen. This Thing is Original all seats and part on it are original, the front bumper tabs are still connected, the side curtains are original. It is not rusted and drives like a daily driver. This car was Towed behind an RV most of it life and the miles are recorded in a journal form in original owners manual. I have seen many "RESTORED" Things that have Bondo and Rust show up within a few years you can see the original condition of this thing. It still has original heater tubes and the heater works 1975 (title reads) VW Thing 1835 Engine with 2 barrel carb Custom built header for extra performance This car is all original and still retains the thing parts that are missing on most of the cars that are out there for sale. -Thing Front Axle Beam, 14", seat belts are still in the vehicle including the ones for the rear seat passengers, right down to the bumper guards still mounted on the bumpers. Original Hardtop with Windows that are in good shape. One thing you will notice about this ad is there is not a long list of new parts like other ads that are out there. The reason is the car only has 40K driving miles on it since the other 30K was being towed. The car has always been maintained properly while being used and not driven and neglected to need a big list of new parts. The motor was rebuild for more power but still reliable to be driven and enjoyed. This car drives like a low mileage original thing and can be used as a daily driver if the new owner would like.Tow bar included with mounts on bumper so no need to lay on your back to hook it up. Also has a pin so the tow bar can stay attached to the vehicle on it has been up hooked from the tow vehicle. Also has towing lights mounted on the rear bumper.As you take a look at these pics, remember you are buying a Rust Free, Unrestored thing that has spent all of its life in the High Desert of California then made it's way over to Arizona where it has been garaged. Most cars you will see are restored examples and you will truly not know what you are getting until a few years down the road when the hidden areas start to come to the surface.
