Vehicle Detail
For Sale is my 1971 International Pickup truck with 11282 original miles. This truly is a rare find as it has been kept inside all of it's life by the Plains Fire Department until 2005. This truck is in really good shape and only has a couple of minor rust spots on the rear fenders. Ok here it goes a little bit about the truck it has the original 345 V8 engine, with 4 speed granny gear maual transmission,It also has the old style divorced transfer case I believe it is 205 with the PTO hook up on the side. A month ago I replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing and while doing so I had the fly wheel resurfaced, I also replaced the rear main seal. This truck is good to go and ready to drive anywhere runs and idols fine and all gauges work as they should. The truck does have a master kill switch on the dash as any fire department is required to have installed on there vehicles. The factory dash choke works and also has the factory idol adjuster on the dash that works very well also. This truck was the plains fire department brush truck and has the plates on the step sides where the indian packs used to be mounted. It also has the oversized bumpers on front and rear. There are two small square holes cut in the bed where the fire department had the pump hooked up to the PTO. The inside of this vehicle is in very good shape it still has the 8 track radio in it. I do have the factory budd rims and tires and hub caps that came on this truck and will go with it when sold, right now it has a set of 36x 16.5 military goodyear tires that have almost new tread on them. Just thought it would look better with the bigger, meatier tires. All the lights and turn signals work, and it still has the airhorn under hood that still works. If your an IH fan this truck is one of the best you'll find still around. I wanted to leave the truck in it's original painted form just the way it came from the fire department just liked the way it looks. The public registration card is still in place between the sunvisors on the roof and thought it should be left there for whomever purchases this vehicle. I have looked at a lot of these trucks on ebay and have not seen any of them as in good as shape as this one is to still be all original 3/4 ton, 4 wheeldrive. My reserve will be set low and reasonable as I want this truck to move and be appreciated by someone as much as I have. Thanks for looking. If you have any questions you may call Mike @ 740-708-0861, and you are more than welcome to set a time to come look at it prior to bidding. Thanks and Happy Bidding.
