Vehicle Detail

Up for you consideration one 1973 Ford Mach I Mustang. This is a recent " Barn Find" stored in the barn pictured since it came from Chicago in 1984. The most important thing to keep in mind about this listing is the condition I show and state in the listing. I have seen people restore just about anything and the most important thing about this car is everything is here this car has not been picked over or parted out it is complete. The previous owner purchased this car in Chicago back in 1984 as a first car for his son. His son at the time was 15 years old and somewhere along the drive home the father was impressed with how FAST the Mustang was but did not want to turn a new driver loose in the car. The car was put in his sons name but never plated. The son tinkered with the car started it and drove it around the farm and up town on the side streets until leaving the area in 1998. This car had 96,000 miles on it when titled now shows just over 96,335 the trip had 199 on it when I brought it home I assume that is all he was ever allowed to drive it? The car had the drivers rear quarter wrecked when they bought it and the son hammered on it over the years attempting to straighten it out to no avail. Note the vintage sticker on the deck lid Mopar beware BEEP YOUR ASS! HEHEHEHE.....What I find most valuable about this car is it's complete condition. The interior is really nice. The fold down rear seat and trap door is complete and functions. (Very Nice Find for your restoration project) The front seats lock as they should they are froze in place wont slide back and forth. The dash cluster and oil, amp and temp guages are in GREAT SHAPE. The Dash Pad is PERFECT no cuts or nicks or cracks. All glass is in good shape tinted and no chips or cracks. The windows roll up and down as they should. The door panels are complete the passenger side is great the drivers side has a small crack below the pull and a small nick where the door shuts. The door pulls are perfect Ford Originals. The steering wheel is also very nice NO CRACK noted in the wheel. This car was really rockin note the vinyl roof I never really got that vinyl on a Mach I cant be too many of those right? The under hood is complete compressor for the AC all the way back to the vents, power steering and power disc brakes. This is just a really complete car. Under the hood itself there is a small rust spot pictured the only rust I see in the hood. I have only a broken grille not pictured. The rear bumper is very rusted and bad shape it does have guards on it though. Please note in the pictures the torque boxes appear good in the car. The drivers front frame rail under the floor pan is bad the passenger side is good. The floor pans as well as the trunk pan needs replaced. The rear frame rails are in good shape no holes noted on my inspection but no promises you may find some I missed just want to be honest. The Door jams have rust see pics. The usual rust around the windows (rear glass) NO RUST wow! Ok I think this would be a great parts car to convert your Sport Roof or to replace the interior in your Mach that you may have purchased missing part or gutted project. The interior is what sold me on the car the original wheels need cleaned I do have the the lock key for the locking lug nuts. The tires hold air for a while the rear brakes are froze up. They did put long tube headers on the car one has a part of a muffler on it the other has the collector rusted off. The car will have to be loaded with a winch or roll back I have a friend with a wrecker that will load it on your trailer for $100.00 that is your deal with him not included in the purchase price. I can not load the car or assist due to health issues. The father told me that his son ran this car often but had not started it since he moved away in 1998. He said it should run.....1998 has been a long time ago consider it not running even though it is FORD TOUGH! If you prefer you can come and strip the car of all the parts you need and leave what you do not need. I will not be parting this car out even though I am sure I could make a lot more sending it out in pieces I am selling it whole to the highest bidder. The car does have a trunk light I do not know if this is special but I never had one that did before and the map light is in the center cluster the interior is COMPLETE! Here is the breakdown from the door tag: 05 63R 2 Dr Sportsroof Mach I F Dearborn Mi Assembly 2 rear end 2.75:1 ( 9inch not a locker or posi) H 351 2V engine U C-6 Automatic Paint 2B Bright Red GA interior Black Vinyl and Kintted vinyl ( Mach I Sports interior) Sold District 41 Chicago IL Any questions please ask I pride myself on being overly honest if you have to make a trip to pick this up you do not need to waste your time.
