Hello. Up for bids is a 1978 volkswagen convertible super beetle. After aquiring it from my father we have kept it garaged in our climate controlled rv port. Selling because we do not use the car, only start it once a week for a drive around the block. This car is in very good condition inside and out. Paint is very good and glossy, interior is all clean with no stereo holes cut and factory radio block off plate installed but can be removed if a stero is desired. Switches all seem to work except for the dome light on the rear view mirror. No tears in the seats or door panels. Interior looks new including the carpet. The steering wheel is an original porsche wheel but can easily be changed back to the wolfsburg wheel. Car has a 1600 dual port carburated engine that only has about 3000 miles on it. New white walls and top in great condition. Car drives well and will be sent for a final tune up before the car is delivered to the buyer just to be sure everything is working properly. The 2 problems i see is that the hood may need to be adjusted a bit and a part that the top comes against the paint behind the windshield has rubbed the paint as shown in the pictures. Also the spare tire does not have a wheel on it as shown. Please note that in the pictures the rear windows are rolled only half way down, they do go all the way down and all the way up. Payment in full is due within 3 days of auctions end via check or money order. Once payment is recieved I will go to the DMV and handle the paperwork before sending the buyer the title and subsequent paper work via ups. Car can remain in our port until shipping or pick up arrangements can be made at buyers expense. Car will not be driven while we are holding it. It is a very nice car that gets a lot of attention. We are sure you will love this car as well as the gas mileage it gets (in the 30 mpg range). Never any accidents and always well kept.
