1956 Ford Thunderbird

I have owned this car for nearly 3 years. I was told by prior owner that he was the second owner of vehicle. Car was purchased by me from a California Seller, have Oregon license plate of original owner. Car was driven by me several times last year. Has been in storage for approximately 1 year. My understanding is that all is original with the exception of some interior. Body is in very good condition with no signs of exterior rust. Undercarriage in good condition as well. Had carb rebuilt this week . Brand new coker tires with spoke wheels (stickers still on tires) Car starts after a few minutes of priming with starting fluid. Drove it for a little and then stalled. Started again with starting fluid and stalls. When I purchased car I was instructed that the car ONLY starts in Neutral not Park. I was told by a transmission specialist that it was not an expensive fix. Since being in storage, car has a problem accellerating in Reverse. NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE IT WENT IN STORAGE, I AM ASSUMING THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY IT NOT BEING DRIVEN FOR A WHILE AND SHOULD BE A QUICK FIX. Has Hard top - NO Soft top Car ran very rich and is in need of tune up. Car Needs passenger side motor mount. Paint is in fair condition with spider cracks on fenders. Chrome is in good/fair condition. Car is described as accurately as I can. I believe if you are mechanically inclined you can have this car road worthy in no time. Cannot insure if mileage is accurate or not, but was told that an older gentleman in Oregon owned it and rarely drove it, California owner drove it rarely as well, and i put less than 500 miles on it.
