Vehicle Detail

Auction is for a 1997 Ford Probe GTS. Black with white factory stripes. 5 - speed manual transmission. ONE OWNER!!!!! New radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses, belts and battery. New alternator, distributor, injectors, brakes, tires and exhaust. Everything above listed as NEW was part of a total restoration project that started in 2009. These were NOT repairs. I took an early retirement in 2010 and the money is simply just not there to continue. When I started the project, it was constantly pointed out to me that the cars book value {currently $3450. @NADA} was far less than the money I was putting into it. After owning this car for 15 years {since new} and NEVER having a problem with it, I think comments like that are reserved for people who don't know what it's like to love a car. Wonder what they drive? A Yugo? Prius? Werd up, yo! lmao This car would be a great everyday driver even in it's current condition. It needs to have the sun visors replaced, and the driver's seat could use new upholstery {bottom only}, but keep in mind you can swap out the bottom fabric from a matching passenger seat. Since most of the passenger bucket seats are usually like new, that's what I would have done to restore the interior to near perfect. It also could use a re-striping if you want the exterior to be really sweet. The check engine light is currently on, but it's been coming on and off for the last 7 years. It started at about 95,000 miles so I would say that after an additional 50, 000 miles of coming on and off, it shows just how useless those lights really are. Just another wonderful mandate from our friends in Washington. Maybe thats why we call them "idiot" lights? The car is tagged in the state of Delaware until October 15, 2012. Serious Bidders Only. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the end of auction. Full payment must be made within 7 days. Again - the $500.00 deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. The car is NOT warranted and is sold AS-IS.
