1969 Triumph TR-6 Here is a great solid California Triumph TR-6 project car that is good enough to be restored to your own desired level, or all the way upto a concourse restoration. The car has been sitting for a long time (mid 80s), we put Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders, waited 48 hrs and then turned the engine over by hand. Then we put a little more, waited another 24 hrs.....then we tried to start the car and after a few squirts of starting fluid the engine fired up and sounded good (approx 15-30 seconds), and is now fed gas from a small auxiliary bottle. Everything that we could check while the engine was running worked! The lights, tachometer, volt gauge, oil pressure gauge, wipers, horn and dash blower motor all worked. The car is accident free, the cream/primrose paint that you see in the pictures is the original paint. I tried to pressure wash as much of the bronze paint off, the car has only had one repaint. As you can see the floors, trunk and body is totally solid. The interior is also original and tan in color, and has been dyed brown...probably around the same time when the car was painted. The Cooper poly tires are the ones that have been on the car for years, we had them removed and remounted so that they hold air with no problem. We didn't try to bleed the brakes or clutch. However, the car rolls easily, the parking brake works and the gearshift does go in the gear slots....non overdrive car. The car has a clean/clear California title and is on a planned non-op (no back fees due). In California, all vehicles over ten years old are sold miles 'exempt', the mileage on this vehicles is assumed to have turned over.
