1986 BMW 528e w/Manual Transmission NO RESERVE! This is our wonderful, old 528e with 5 Speed manual transmission.  It is rust-free and just went through some major preventative maintenance.  It is ready to drive across the country.  Its lack of rust and its bulletproof M20 engine with excellent gas mileage means that this car will go forever. It has a clean and clear title, in my name and ready to hand over to the new owner.  and I regularly get a mixed MPG in the 26-28 mpg range--mostly city, in my case.  On the freeway it is easy to get 30mpg if you keep yourself under 100mph.  The odometer works and reads 62,800 miles but was reset to zero when the engine was rebuilt (the odometer also received new odometer gears at that point). Estimated total mileage of 260k miles on the body. Smog (emissions) is valid for another 60 days for the new owner, if in California.  It passed with good marks.  CA registration is up-to-date and good to December 2012. Recent maintenance and repairs: +  Timing belt service just done last week +  Complete Brake Job completed in February 2012 +  Tune up completed in January 2012, including plugs, wires, drive belts, and fluids +  Rebuilt engine (top end: valves, etc.) 62k miles ago +  1-year-old radio with HD radio, built-in bluetooth, iPhone support, USB support, and it cooks great eggs +  All powered items work--power windows, locks, seats, radio, on-board computer, cruise control, defroster, horn, climate control fan speeds, etc.  +  Clutch job two years ago, less than 30k miles old All electrical items work including all four windows, sunroof, cruise control, service indicator system, all gauges, radio, HVAC blower speeds, lights, sensors, etc.  Mechanically it drives straight and true, starts every time, brakes straight, is comfortable cruising on the freeway without wandering, and does not shake or rattle.  The suspension feels firm and is quiet. Wear and tear: +  Windshield crack -- out of view, along top of windshield +  Cloth interior is showing its age, but comfortable and clean.  Non-smoking interior. +  Dents on all four doors.  See pictures. +  AC compressor kicks on, but does not blow cold. It is R12 and has not been converted to R134a. +  The floormats are well-used.  I tossed them out. +  No owner's manual, and some of the tools are missing from the trunk toolkit.
