Vehicle Detail
I am selling a 1959 Dodge 2 door hardtop lancer. This car has power steering , a radio, dual antennas, and a 2 speed powerflite automatic transmission. The overall condition of the car is good, but it is in need of a complete restoration. The engine runs, but burns oil, so it will need to be rebuilt. It is a 326 ci. The carburator was rebuilt last year. The transmission seems to go into all gears fine and shifts. Last year I completely rebuilt the brake system. This included all new hard lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, drums turned, master cylinder. new rear axle seals, rear axle bearings repacked and new front wheel bearings. The body is in very decent condition. There are not any holes rusted through, but there are some spots that I suspect to be soft in the lower rear quarters, eyebrows and outer rockers. The floor has no holes, but once again I suspect several soft spots. The trunk floor has some soft spots and one hole the size of a 50 cent piece. Paint needs complete restoration and the interior needs complete restoration. The car originally came with dual rear antennas, when I bought the car, they were missing, but the holes were there. I located NOS correct dual rear antennas, gaskets, bases, and cable. They need to be installed, but are included with the car. I have a lot of spare and optional parts that are included with the car. The following is a list: 1959 Chrysler front swivel seat, non power (needs restoration but is complete except for one seatback ashtray) Multiple nos tailight lenses (I have enough to replace all of them on the car and some spares) A spare speedometer with the speed minder option and I believe the power unit. Spare guage cluster. Nos brake pedal, Spare set of interior door handles/window cranks. several spare horn rings, one chrome one paded. Several spare carburators for parts. Several spare sets of brake shoes, some with good lining some need to be re lined. A spare set of solid front fenders in good condition. Possibly an optional set of rear quarter gills(if I can find them). A optional hood ornament. A nos set of period correct aftermarket seat covers (for non swivel seat) in blue and white. And various other odds and ends I have collected for this car over the years. I intended to restore the car completely but have too many projects and it will be a long time before I can get to this one. This will however be a one time offering on ebay, if it does not sell here, I will store the car until a later date. My reserve is well under what I have in the car and spare items that go with it. If you have any questions email me, or you can call (559)924-5226 please call at a reasonable hour California time. If you or your agent would like to inspect the car prior to bidding, I will make time to meet you. I will do my best to accomodate your shipping company, but all shipping costs, fees ect will be the responsibility of the buyer. I can hold the car for up to 30 days, as long as it is paid for, if you need more time than that to pick it up, please make arrangements with me before bidding. The car is located in zip code 93245 California and is in an area that is semi truck accessable. I can also recomend delivery services at your expense to the shipping depots in long beach and los angeles area. Full payment is due within 3 days of auction end by cash, money order, or wire transfer. Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay. All sales final, car sold as is.
