Listed is a very rare 1982 Mercedes 380 SEC, #577 of only 4393 produced in 1982. It has 209,067 miles, power brakes, power steering, power doors/locks, power seats, sunroof, power retracting seatbelts, and an automatic transmission. The engine is a factory rebuild and was installed in 1999 at 137,000 miles. The engine runs excellent and has never overheated. Regular maintenance to the cooling system was done every two years with Mercedes parts and anti-freeze. Plugs, cap, rotor, and wires are new this year. This vehicle has never failed emissions since the new engine was installed. The vehicle was restored in 2000. The outside body was stripped, painted, and reassembled with new glass, door locks and trim pieces. The interior is in very good shape for its age. The wear spots are typical for Mercedes (see pics). There is absolutely zero rust. The frames for the front seats are in very good condition. All power accessories function on both seats, moon-roof, antenna, seatbelt extenders, doors/windows, and gas door/trunk lock. Tires are in great shape and have less then 10,000 miles. There are also new wood trim pieces installed on the dash. The A/C system does not blow cold. Within the last few years the evaporator, condenser, and controls have all been replaced. At this time the compressor is the issue and needs to be replaced. All of the vacuum controls work perfectly. This A/C was converted to a 134a system by the dealership. Overall this 380 SEC in very good condition and priced well below NADA's "low retail value". Most Mercedes experts have rated this vehicle as a 7 on a 1-10 scale. It has been a wonderful and good looking daily driver since 1996. This vehicle is among the first of this style to be manufactured by Mercedes. The roof was hand built, the trunk and hood are made of aluminum, plus this vehicle has a lower drag coefficient than some of the newer cars. This vehicle is being sold as is.
