Up for sale today is our family S.U.V. we have owned this durango since December of 2007. It had just over 45,000 miles on it at the time we purchased it. To start off with I am a GM certified mechanic in Peoria, IL. I take the mechanical and physical condition of the vehicle my wife and two beautiful daughters will be traveling in very seriously. So needless to say this vehicle is in pristine condition. Tires have 85% tread remaining. Full size spare included that is brand new. I was not planning on getting a new vehicle anytime soon however I was offered a deal on a suburban I couldn't pass up. With that being said I just totally went through this vehicle within the last 500 miles, New brake pads and rotors front and rear, changed the differential front and rear fluids to synthetic oil. Flushed the transfer case added new fluid, flushed the transmission and changed the filter and added new fluid. Flushed out the coolant system added new coolant and changed the thermostat. No problems with the current thermostat just trying to prevent any future problems. Has a brand new mopar a/c compressor, and last I always changed the oil every 2800 miles. I have always ran 15w40 through this engine as in my opinoin the 5w20 they recommend is hard on the engine while their game plan is better fuel economy. Well heres the good news. Driving in town we always see 18+ interstate 22-25 M.P.G. This durango is in great overall shape. Leather seats are all perfect with no rips or tears. A/C front and rear works great. Heated seats both work. Has power sunroof that works great. All power windows work well. Drivers power seat works including lumbar on both pass seat and drivers seat. I chose this durango when we purchased over the other engine trans and transfercase which comes with the 4.8 liter engine. This durango has 4wd high and 4wd low where as the other transfercase only has 4wd high. So overall its a more heavy duty longer lasting powertrain with the hemi package. Has rear entertainment system with headphones that works well, also has the remote control for the tv and dvd player. So long story short this durango with the way I have maintained it will last for at least another 100000 miles before it may need some repairs......if you take care of it. So many people don't take changing oil every 3000 miles seriously. They should as they have no idea how much engine damage they are doing by not changing oil when they should. Will hold 7 large people comfortably. All glass is in perfect shape. new windshield wipers, all lights work including fog lights in front bumper. There are a small few hair scratches here and there but they are small enough you have to look for them.
