I have for sale is a 1971 fj40 that I spent over two years building from the ground up,started with a rust free frame and sandblasted it and then painted it with 2 coats of por15 and then the por15 top coat, new toyota oem front fenders,and all new floors and rockers and rear quarters and rear sil and every other metal part like the hood,doors,rear hatch, tail gate,the sides all were were striped to bare metal and and repainted with 3 coats of industrial dupont emron od green paint,all of the entire under carriage was sprayed with Raptor bed liner and also the inside was except the dash. The top was redone and with a new head liner,I had a custom full roll cage made for this fj40, and custom made front and rear bumpers that are very heavy duty and the front is already for a winch and the rear swings out with a full size spare tire. I put a Flaming river tilt steering column and a high end leather steering wheel, and a set of six VDO gauges and every bit of the wiring is new with a new wiring harness, and most all elect. conections done with water proof conectors,All lights are new and the front and side markers are toyota oem and most of all the seals were replaced with toyota oem seals, it has a factory a/c unit from a 1979 fj40 that works great, and I put a chevy sbc 350 that I had stripped to the block and was boiled and new freeze out plugs, with new crank and new mild rv cam, new rings and new valves and the block was painted before putting it together and it is a strong running motor, the transmission also was totaling take apart it is a 700r4 and all new clutches and torque converter, both the front and rear end new 4.11 gears and all new bearings and seals, I have front disc brakes with all new parts and the rear brakes also have all new parts inside and out, the suspension is the 4in spring lift from cool cruisers with the 1 1/2 in shackles and the shocks and all new greasble pins and bushings, the tires are new bf goodrich kms 33x10.5x15 and the rims are Ion alum. 8in wide. The bottom line is this Toyota fj40 is rust free and very solid and has never been off road, and is truly one the rare fj40's that are rust free and will cruise on the highway at 65 to 70 miles per hr if you want it to and handles very well around corners because I also put power steering on it. If you are looking for a lot of attention while driving or just getting gas this will do it for you.
