Vehicle Detail

I'm reluctantly offering my beautiful Scout for sale, for financial reasons. I purchased this Scout last fall and have been building it since. The body and paint were done by previous owner and on a scale of 1-10 it's a 9. The body is straight with no rust (I assume all new panels were installed). The paint is IH Red enamel, and is very eye catching and a head turner! This rig will make you the envy of every Jeep owner that sees it! It's a blast to drive, run's great with no exhaust smoke at all from the original 232 6 cylinder, shifts great, transfer case works flawlessly, as do the auto locking hubs. I upgraded the manual brakes to Hydro-boost power disc for tremendous stopping power! Power steering, drives straight and will cruise 60-65 on highway. It does come with a solid hardtop and doors in good condition, needing painted.I never intended to install top or doors, as this was to be a warm weather toy! I will also include a 304 V-8 and 727 automatic transmission that the previous owner intended to install. I have put approximately 350 miles on it and have throughly enjoyed every one! I will assist with shipping at buyers expense. The reserve is set low so don't let this one get away with summer right around the corner.Feel free to ask questions or request more pictures.Original odometer showed 57,xxx miles and I have no idea if this was correct. *Paint and body work (needs a piece of checker plate steel to finish bed, about 12" wide at passenger seat floorboard. I screwed a piece of sheetmetal over opening, vehicle had a bulkhead and toolbox mounted here, so P.O. didnt remove when putting new steel in bed.) He did an awesome job of welding in all new floor pans as well. Some of the work and upgrades include:33x12.50 Goodyear Wrangler M/Ts (like new) mounted on 15x10 alloy wheels,Scout II Dana 44 axles w/3.54 gears, T-18 4 speed transmission, Dana 20 T/C with aftermarket twinstick shifters, SOA lift with Scout II front springs on all four corners, new spring perches,U-bolts, spring hangers, shackles, lights rewired, with everything working(including new back-up lights) except hi-beams(not wired in.)Seat is from a 90's Chevy truck with shoulder belts(pass. side hangs up at times),rear seat is from a Jeep CJ with Scout II lap belts. New poly 12 gal fuel tank with straps and sending unit.New glove box liner and a coy of original line set ticket.New oil pressure, temp, voltmeter, speedometer and fuel gauge that works! Also comes with a Kenwood CD player w/remote.USB and aux inputs, and Ipod holder.Speakers are Sony Xplod 6x9s and another speaker box in rear. Does have some minor leaks, I just ordered a Valve cover gasket from Advance, should be installed before it sells. This Scout is tagged and I have driven it almost daily for the past couple months (weather permitting) I am a Scout lover, and there s another build in my near future
