Vehicle Detail
1986 Dodge OMNI GLH TURBO, no reserve auction. The GLH is the "sleeper of all sleepers". This is a very low mileage car that has been taken well care of. One owner for 26 years. ONLY 106,000 Miles. I have a complete VIN Information Report that details every option and code for this vehicle. For those familiar with the GLH Turbo's, it has all of the goodies desired, including beefed up suspension, 5 speed manual transmission, etc. This Dodge drives fast, shifts through all 5 gears, and the boost controller adds a tremendous power. The car has several updates. New front brakes, New exhaust from Turbo back. 2.5" custom to a Turbo Muffler. It has an exhaust Motorized "cutoff" system. This allows you to leave the exhaust fully quiet for daily use but when extra performance is needed just flip the switch and the exhaust fully opens to breath and has a stronger sound. I added a boost controller allowing the ability to adjust exhaust from stock 4lbs to up to 18lbs of "throw you back " power. I added a brand new battery also. I have a Dodge Omni Linkage Upgrade Kit. The kit replaces the original plastic shift linkage connections with steel quick connect fittings and spherical rod ends. This needs to be installed. Still in the box. Added a Pillar mount Boost Gauge with opening for an additional Gauge. The tires are 85%. This unit has AC but needs to be charged. I have installed The interior is in great shape for a vehicle this old. Headliner was replaced last summer, so no "sag". The body is very straight with only a very few small surface rust areas as seen in the pictures. The body panels are in excellent shape, with no rust or damage from accidents. The under carriage does have the typical rust on the floorplans of the underside that will need some attention. Floor pans are rusted (see pics). Frame has some surface rust near where floor pan cancer, but SOLID throughout. I've included many pics of the undercarriage... rocker panels are solid, wheel well lips are solid, from point where floor pans end to back of car is SOLID. All windows are good. Pass window track is tight. Also has the normal 80s Dodge paint that has faded. Fully Tuned up with oil change done last month. Very reliable as is. Mechanically very sound. The car is not perfect but is the nicest one I have seen in many years. Please call with any questions 315 313-8300. For sale locally at $3000 OBO so may be sold at any time. Ps. 1- I do have an additional set of GLH rims and BRAND NEW Dunlap low profile tyres that will be for sale if the buyer would like to purchase separately. 2- I do have a 1990 Dodge omni, 84,000 miles, rock solid except for one floor pan, that will be for sale as well. Mechanically perfect and completely gone through. On Apr-23-12 at 19:30:06 PDT, seller added the following information: 1- I have had many people call to ask about pulling the car for a buy it now because the car is for sale locally. To be fair with everyone bidding here, I have decided to sell the car solely through ebay. I appreciate your bids and will not be pulling this car at the last minute because of some back door deal. You guys are the bidders and I will respect that. I want to be fair and loyal to the people who play by the rules and spend a week of their lives following the car. Good luck and keep bidding! 2- I will not sell the extra set of GLH rims and brand new low profile tires before the end of the auction. High bidder will have first crack at the extra set should they wish to purchase them. On Apr-25-12 at 19:02:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clear up any confusion, this is a RUNNING and DRIVING car. I put the car on the lift to be completely transparent about the undercarriage pics. I have tried to upload pics of the car after I have cleaned it, but the auction won't allow this. I will send pics if you request them. The car still pulls like hell and shifts through all 5 gears with ease. Let me know if I can offer any other info.
