Vehicle Detail
Original Blue and White on White. All her parts are there! I have lost my 'free' storage, father in law is selling his house and my work garage with the large back covered storage seems to be going with it. I like being a weekend warrior, this was going to be one of my future projects but Im a long ways away. I have run out of time and my local storage options are too expensive. I just found this Ranchero about two months ago, all california, clear title, literally rust free, minor surface rust that will go away with restoring. There is not believed to be any major damage as none can be found, there are some scrapes and scratches, some bondo on the back fins but I assumed that 53 years with the fins, something got bumped or happened. I have no idea why someone chose black and burgundy with ugly seats from another car. No clue why she was converted from automatic to manual, but all the parts are there! Including the automatic gear shift, the gauge and bezel is still in the dash! All the chrome, mirrors, switches, original radio, dash cluster, lights, everything and if it isn't on her currently, it's in a box in the back. Along with the original seats, weathered but restorable with all of that chrome too. The engine starts, some gas in the engine and a battery, she turned without assistance. That was enough of the original engine for me to buy her! Yes, original engine. I do not know much at all about this truck, I just fell in love with her. The original blue can be seen on the dash and door jambs, I was going to restore her back to original. The bed has a large compartment underneath, with a lid and lock. No key, no clue why or what. There was also what looks like a period or vintage gun rack for the rear window, it's included. Every knob and switch, the engine release is missing, someone put a wire there to pull for now. Ask away, I will answer or get the answer as best I can. Again, she is not looking too pretty today but I see the restoration potential. If you are looking at or for a Ranchero, you know the restored value, this actually is a gem in disguise. If you are local, come check her out. I know the pictures might not look the best, I haven't cleaned her up, have not done one thing, this is literally as I got her.
