Reluctantly selling my 1998 Hummer H1. I would not sell but need to raise money for a house purchase so I need to sell it. It is the convertible soft top model with full doors. It is metalic green, one of 26 of this model in that color, and has tan leather interior. It has many factory options including: front and rear heat & a/c, trailer tow package, heated windshields, drivetrain protection, rocker panel protection, brush guard, winch with cable roller, power windows, power door locks, and cruise control. It also has a basic code-alarm car alarm system installed. It was originally equipped with CTIS, but a previous owner removed the ctis compressor & sold it after deciding he didn't want that feature. If you look at the photo of the ctis control, you can see where he removed part of it to make a space for a professionally installed interior control for the winch (original exterior winch control is still hooked up & controller is included). This Hummer has the 6.5 turbo diesel engine. I was told that a previous owner had the original engine replaced under a factory program & I had the block markings checked during servicing by MGE, verifying it is the enhanced block, so no #8 worries. I have had & have receipts for over $11,000.00 worth of service work which I had performed by MGE (Masa Green Enterprises) & Hampstead Auto (George Dausch). This included install new head gaskets with new head bolts, "C" service, new hawk front brake pads, new right rear brake caliper, new right & left rear emergency brake cables, flush & install new DOT 5 brake fluid, new nord lock washers & CV shaft retaining bolts, new pitman arm, new fuel tank mounts/straps, front winch springs, 2 new batteries, new a/c system control panel, re-charge a/c with new condensor/dryer (front & rear heat & a/c works), new wiper blades, as well as sanding rough edges on front hood damage (caused by off-roading by previous owner), which you can see in the photos. I had this hummer previously pass New York inspection & it has currently been inspected & passed in Maryland. I have driven this Hummer several times between New York & DC and also New York to Tennessee. I would feel comfortable to drive it anywhere. Tan leather interior is in fairly good condition, with some minor stains & marks. Interior is also virtually stock & unmolested. Soft top is in pretty good shape as well. This Hummer does have a fair amount of scrapes & scratches to the body work from the previous owner's off-roading in Maine, including the hood damage I mentioned above, so if you are looking for a Hummer with a like-new paint & exterior, this is not the car for you. I had thus far only had this sanded & cleaned up to the extent needed to pass inspections. I think this will make someone a great Hummer. Unlike many low priced Hummers, this one's had it's mechanical issues taken care of, including an enhanced block engine. If someone wanted to do some body & paint work this could be a really incredible car, or it is ready to drive as-is. Low Reserve, so Good Luck Bidding!
