You are bidding on a 1990 Volvo 240DL with only 104,381 miles on it. The car is not running and it has been stored in our garage since 2005. It has a no-start problem, the motor cranks but it does not start. I never had a chance to take it to a mechanic because I did not have any time and this was just a weekend car. I am selling this car now because I need the garage space. The exterior of the car is in quite good condition. It has some minor paint damage on roof and on the front right fender. There are also some minor scratches and the paint has begun to fade here and there. Keep in mind that it is a 22 year old car so some paint damage and scratches are expected. The front lights and grill are in excellent condition. The backlights were repaired to prevent water from going inside but they work fine. The muffler is good shape but the rubber holding it wore so I had to tie it to the trunk with some rope. I bought the original rubber but never had time to replace it (will include it). The front and back shocks need to be replaced as well. The original hubcaps were stolen so I bought some random brand hubcaps from an autostore. There are no dents on this car and the body is very clean...there is no rust. The motor is original and has only 104,381 miles on it, which is very low for a Volvo 240DL. I filled up the motor with oil to prevent rusting since I was not using it. The old motor oil needs to be drained before first crank. The transmission is also original and shifts very smoothly. There is a minor transmission oil leak possibly due to a worn out gasket. Interior wise, the car is in good shape. The front driver's side seat has some foam crumbling due to the heated seats. The cloth also show signs of use. The remaining seats are in good condition. The interior carpet and roof is in very good shape as well. The dashboard is clean and has no cracks. The radio is working, but has some loose wires so the speakers go on and off. The air conditioner does NOT work (compressor is fine but the system probably needs recharging). The heater works fine. I am selling this car as is with no reserve. This is a 22 year old car and with some TLC this car can be great for daily use. It is already a modern classic but within 3 years it will become an antique. I am enclosing a lot of pictures so you will have an idea about what you are getting. I have not used this car since 2005 so I have no idea how it will behave now. I wanted to hold it for another 3 yrs to get antique car status but now I need garage space for my classic corvette.
