Vehicle Detail
You turn the key and you hear the engine come to life with a powerful rumble. You press the gas pedal down and you hear a deep roar that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand straight up. This is not your typical prelude this is a professorially tuned car that will throw the fun back into driving. No matter where your destination is you will have a blast in this 2001 Honda Prelude (special ordered in 2001 delivered in 2002) with the rare "Electron Blue" factory paint job. To make it even better it has less than 36,500 original miles as of (4/32012). Why is it rare you might ask. In 2001 was the last year this car was produced by Honda and offered for the first time in Electron Blue as a last hurrah for the last hard top sports car made by Honda as of 2012. Have questions? Really want the car? Shoot me a email saying your max bid if it is close to a local offer I will let the auction ride. First come first serve. ==================================================================================FYI: > This car has been pampered and well taken care of; There is NO storm damage what so ever. The car was garaged kept by both by me as well as the previous owner. ( This is an error. The car has NEVER been close to a major storm.) > The reason there is a "duplicate" title is due to the fact the car originated (Sold to first owner) in TX and once I purchased the car The S.C. DMV made a duplicate title for my ownership in S.C. > There is NO Loan or Lien on the car. I have the title in hand and ready to sale. (The first owner had to take out a loan to purchase this car) ===================================================================Q & A (Updated Daily) #1Q: Why are you selling such a upgraded car? A: The only reason I am selling this car is because I need a car with four doors and a larger trunk for trips. #2Q: Why is the millage so low? A: The reason the car has low millage is due to the fact that it was a show car by the first owner and driven rarely. #3Q: Why are the lowering springs not installed? A: When I purchased the car I put stock KYB shocks and Honda springs on it because I did not like my cars lowered. #4Q: How much in a dollar amount has been invested into this car? A: More than $8,000 invested into it in modifications and performance parts to make this a one of a kind street legal race car. Which you can get back out the car by bring it back to stock. #5Q: Will you part out the car or the extras? A: No I will not part out the car or the extras. If you want to purchase the car and part it out to get the $8,000 that is invested into it that's fine by me. On Apr-04-12 at 11:52:39 PDT, seller added the following information: #6Q: what state is the car in? A: South Carolina is the state it is located in. #7Q: Whats the least you would sell your prelude for? A: Make me an offer. The KBB value is $12,500 with the options and miles it has on it stock. In addition to that it has $8,000 invested into it in modifications and performance parts. On Apr-05-12 at 14:11:52 PDT, seller added the following information: #8Q: Does it have a clean title? A: Yes it has a clean title. #9Q: What shows has it been in? A: I can not speak for the first owner who had it countless shows. Just this last year I have had invites to have my car shown in "The Motor Trend Car show" as well as this years coming "SEMA Show." Only a handful of people can say they have a real show car. This is your chance to be one of the few. #10Q: Will you set a "Buy it Now" price? A: Feel free to submit a"Buy it Now" offer by clicking "Ask a question" As of right now I have multiple offers to "Buy it Now".Make sure to check the auction often because I might agree to put up a "Buy it Now" price for what they offered. Make sure to include your cell number so I can text you if your offer is the "Buy it Now" price I will also let you know when that will go LIVE. #11Q: Can you tell me how many watchers you have on this? I want to know what I am up against. A: If I gave you a number it would NOT be correct in an hour. The number of watchers is growing by leaps and bounds by the hour.Which is why bidding your max or submitting a "Buy it Now" request is a smart idea. More info on "Buy it Now" in FAQ #8. #12Q: Can you tell me the reserve amount? A: I do not wish to comment on this. #13Q: Is it a smoke free car? A: Yes the car is smoke free. The car does NOT have any type of odors what so ever. #14Q: Whats the total value of this car? A: If you add the KBB value plus the amount of money invested into the car thus far the price comes out around 20,500 (More info in: in FAQ #4 and FAQ #7) #15Q: Does the sunroof have any issues? A: No issues at all works like the car is brand new. No leaks what so ever and the motor works great as well. On Apr-05-12 at 20:19:44 PDT, seller added the following information: #16Q: Why do you have "JDM civic delsol 240sx spyder 350z mustang" in the subtitle? A: I used them as "tags" I did not know this was against ebay's policy. I have since contacted Ebay support and they have been informed I am unable to edit the "tags" out of the subtitle bar. The subtitle bar became LOCKED after the first bid. I apologize to ebay and my fellow ebayers for this mistake and it will not happen again. On Apr-06-12 at 19:29:41 PDT, seller added the following information: #17Q: Does it have "Sport Shift Mode" ? A: It sure does! It the fun of driving a manual with out worrying with a clutch. More info: For those who don't know what Sport Shift Mode is, it is a clutch-less manual. You can put the car in D (drive) and drive it like any automatic. Or you can bump it over to the (+ [ O ] -) (plus and minus) Area located to the left of drive. This allows you to shift through all the gears like you would with any manual with out having to worry about a clutch. You will see this more and more on cars because it ( the cars ECU) can shift gears faster than a race car driver with a clutch. Motor-Trend has tested this to death and simply put "humans can not beat a computer controlled clutches." On Apr-09-12 at 14:15:15 PDT, seller added the following information: #18Q: How does the car run? How about the supercharger? A: The car runs great as well does the supercharger. Here is a list of when the supercharger and engine were serviced for preventive maintenance most recently.Engine serviced by ASE Master Technician for:OEM Alternator Pulley replaced with New OEM pulley (Mar 15, 2012)New OEM Power steering belt replaced (Mar 15, 2012)Two New Jackson Racing idler pulleys and super charger serpentine belt installed (Mar 15, 2012)Supercharger serviced by TPC:Jackson Racing adjustable fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter Checked by TPC (Nov 14, 2011)Mugen Catback Exhaust / DC Headers Checked by TPC (Nov 14, 2011)Jackson Racing Super Charger Tuned by TPC (Nov 14, 2011) #19Q: What was your next upgrade recommendation? OR something you would change about the car. A: The one recommendation I have is to put lower profile tires on for a even sportier feel. As it stands the tires are a little larger than recommend for the car / wheels size. This setup helps the car ride more comfortably around the city. The only down side to this is If you take a large pothole you will feel the tire bump the wheel well. Which does NOT cause damage to the car or tire. Ride comfort is another reason I took off the lowering springs. With the combination of the wheels + tires + Lowering springs it made the car scrub some which is why I brought it back to the stock (OEM) setup. Scrubbing is not too much of an issue any more; happens only on a deep dips or deep drops in the road. The reason I have not already changed out the tires is because I did not want to invest more money into the car when I am about to get married and will need a family car. #20Q: Why are you selling the car? A: I am planning to get married and I need family car.
