Vehicle Detail
PLEASE READ! Before I get started, please understand that bidding on this vehicle is a commitment to buy. Do not bid if you do not already have the funds or are not pre-approved for them! If you do not have the full amount you will bid, then you MUST go to your financial institute and get pre-approved for an auto loan BEFORE bidding. Too many people bid on cars here, then go to the bank after they have committed to buy the vehicle just to find out that they cannot get approved for the loan. This is why many sellers require a large deposit within 48 hours to ensure that you will be coming for the vehicle. I know not everyone has $500 to put down so I will not require this. In return, make sure you have the funds before bidding! Thank you! IMPORTANT! I will be including the VIS carbon fiber hood in the pictures ONLY if the Buy It Now is used! Was $1000 hood back in the day and still sells on ebay for over $600 shipped. Condition 9.5 out of 10. Unfortunately I have to sell my beloved Subaru. It has always been a dream of mine to own a WRX and I finally got one! But, it is also my dream to get myself, my girl, and our 4 kids out of our apartment! I bought the Subaru before I realized just how much it costs to have the American dream; a home of my own. Closing costs, inspection fees, down payment.... Basically the thousands of dollars I need to realize my dream of owning my own home was spent to buy the Subaru! I had bought the car from a friend of mine from work who was the original owner of the car. So when I bought it from him it had 122,500 one owner miles on it. This car is basically a one owner. I have only had it about 2 months now and have put 2400 miles on it myself to date. Please note the miles will go up a little over the next few weeks as we drive it 3-4 times a week. The guy really didn't want to sell it but he let his wife convince him to get a new Accord. My plan was to get it and eventually do a turbo upgrade. This thing is completely set up to handle more power. To start, it has an ACT racing flywheel and ACT racing clutch. The car shifts good and the clutch starts to grab at about halfway up from the floor. It has Tanabe lowering springs, Tanabe strut tower bar, Cusco rear sway bar, and 17 inch Rays Gram Lights wheels with 225-45-17 Falken ZE-512 tires. Rays Gram Lights are about $1500-$2000 new. They are super light weight which gives you awesome throttle response, better braking, and they complement the the Tanabe and Cusco suspension parts to make this car handle awesome. I love tearing up the curves with this thing; it is the best handling car I have ever drove. The tires look new in the rear, 90% tread or better, but the fronts look to have about 40% left. The car drives straight; no vibrations or rattles at any speeds, even at close to 100mph :) In the 2 months I have owned it, I have put on a DC Sports cold air intake ($150) and removed the muffler for more power and better sound. I am including the muffler with the car so if you wish to re-install it you may. I just love they way it sounds without it. Nice low rumble but absolutely no drone whatsoever. You barely hear it cruising around but gives you great sound when you step into it. With the intake installed and the muffler removed I have also noticed a nice increase in fuel economy. Subaru rates this car at 28mpg highway. It also has brand new front ball joints (cost me $340). I put in brand new NGK iridium plugs ($8 ea.) last month and just changed the oil with 5w-30 full synthetic this week. I want to note that the cars check engine light is on. I took it to Autozone and had them run the scanner and it gave 2 codes. P0546 Exhaust Gas Temp sensor, and P0442 Evap small leak. The P0546 is an Exhaust sensor that is like $30. The P0442 is an Evap leak code. They told me this code is caused by the gas cap not sealing properly and you just get a new gas cap, about $30 as well. I drive the car an hour to work and back a few times a week and it always starts and runs great all day so I haven't worried about addressing the codes. I hope buyers will appreciate that I'm being honest about it. I don't want to re-set the battery to erase the check engine light just to have it come on the first week the new buyer has it. That would piss me off! So please appreciate my honesty. Has a knee sized dent in the driver side front fender. I'm sure you could pop it out from the inside. I just haven't had the time to remove the access panel and try. I thought I'd leave it up to the buyer or you could get a new fender for $50 at a junk yard if the dent doesn't come out. Please understand that the car does have the normal rock chips and dings in the hood, and imperfections throughout the body as any 10 year old car would have. As you can tell from the pictures though, it still looks great. I have pictures of it wet AND dry so you can see I'm not hiding anything with water. Please check out my youtube channel to see some videos of the car that I took. My camera doesn't pick up sound well so it sounds way better in person. Just enter "lancaster13secfbody" in the search bar on youtube and it should bring up all my videos. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and come take a look in person! Please note that it IS a used car so it is being sold "as is". Full payment is due within 7 days of auction ending. Car must also be picked up within 7 days of auction ending; I will not ship! Non paying bidders will be reported to ebay. PLEASE! Do not bid unless you have already secured the funds! Thank you.On Apr-13-12 at 00:49:13 PDT, seller added the following information:Was in a bit of a rush when listing and wanted to say a few more things. For one, I have more pictures available that I can text or can get photos that you want to see. 740-974-8328. I only have one video on my youtube channel of the car right now (3am fri 13th) but am adding one tonight of a parking lot drive. My camera sucks and doesn't pick up sound very well so by this weekend I will be adding another video clip trying to show the sound of the car better. Again, type in "lancaster13secfbody" WITHOUT the quotation marks into the search bar on youtube and it should bring up all my videos. Keep checking in now and again to look for the new videos. Also the interior photos were after only a 2 min vacuum job so it will clean up a lot better if done properly with cleaning agents. If I wasn't broke I'd get it professionally detailed. I wanted to add that Kelly Blue Book RETAIL value on this car is $8700. I think $7500 for it with $1500 wheels and a $1000 carbon fiber hood among the other parts is a great deal. Oh also the hood only weighs about 10 pounds, as demonstrated by the photo of me holding it with one finger. I bought the hood off my friend who sold me the car. He said he only put it on for car shows and took it back off. It shows, as it is about a 9.5 out of 10. Might even be a 10; pulled it out of his garage all dusty and I only wiped it down with a sponge for the pictures. A good wax coat might make it a full 10 again. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a viewing. I prefer texts on my phone, or email. Thanks and good luck!On Apr-20-12 at 00:06:47 PDT, seller added the following information: People keep asking me where the "Buy it Now" button went. I was un-aware of what happened as well, so I called Ebay. Apparently when the reserve price is met it cancels the BIN option. They said its not fair to people bidding on the car if someone clicks buy it now so this is why Ebay does it this way. I don't agree with this as I thought that was the whole point of BIN; someone that wants the car bad enough can pay what I'm asking and not loose it to another and then I get what I want too. Guess Ebay doesn't see it this way so unfortunately I cannot restore the BIN button. I was offering the VIS carbon fiber hood with the BIN price of $7500 so if the car sells for $7500 or more I will still include the VIS hood with it. If the car doesn't reach $7500 for some reason then I can discuss a price with the buyer for the hood if they desire it. I hope this clarifies everything for everyone. Only a few more days!
