Vehicle Detail
Just drove it and had it alinged 4/12/12! Drives awesome, also checked odometer and changed listing to actual mileage. A dry North East Oregon car showing under 68k on the odometer which I believe is accurate. I have owned it about 7 years and am just finishing the resto-mod. Car was originally purchased in Baker City Oregon and I purchased it from a family member of the original owner In Cove Oregon. So now a two family car with local 60 mile history. This car started as a 318 automatic. Now it is a 340 4spd with shaker hood! The only rust that was found and fixed was from the typical leaky trunk lid gasket. I replaced 1/2 of the trunk floor and that is all this car needed! The rest was rust free. This includes frame rails etc. NO RUST ISSUES. Upgrades include: 8 3/4 rear end with two sets of posi gears. I installed hwy gears est. 327:1. Drives easily at 55-75mph. Also have some low 3's like 373:1? The spare goes with it. Power Disk brakes on all 4 corners. Custom retro wheels and new tires. Had to change wheels due to disk brakes and original 14" wheels would not fit. Polyurethane bushings on rear shackles and complete front end. Added sway bar up front and has original swaybar in rear. Powder coated front k-member -Yellow. New fuel tank to avoid clogged filters. Power rack and Pinion steering just installed. Tightens up the original sloppy box to a modern feel, no play or slop now. Engine is a 1970-71 340 with X heads and hardened seats installed. Slight mopar cam which idles nicely. Barry Grant carb. Big block 4 spd.trasmission. All with less then 100miles since installed & rebuilt. Headers which are ceramic coated block huggers. Also a huge aluminum radiator and electric fans which are temp activated. Electric fuel pump with switch to shut if off is installed. Also a GM 1 wire altenator for simplicity. New exhaust done very well and in removable sections. I added a GO-WING, Shaker hood system and Fog lights to dress up the outside. I have hockey stick 340 stripes which have not been installed yet. This car had a very rare spray on fake vinyl top. I had it replaced with a true vinyl top as it was worn out and I could not match it. So real vinyl top now. New Front windshield and the rest of the glass is original. New headliner, front seat foam and covers, new carpet, new window cranks and I installed a nice CD player with remote in the original hole. Looks very good. Also have two dash pads. The one installed is a new AC dash pad as I was planning to install AC at some point. The other pad goes with the car too. I do not like the consoles so I went without and have the original style shifter and a metal 4spd tunnel added. I modified the steering column to show no signs of the original auto lever. As you can read this has been a huge ongoing and expensive project. I have just purchased a peice of land and need the funds to go toward that now. My hard work and years of effort are now your great deal! I did not save my receipts as I planned on keeping this car for me. I know that I put over $35k into this car not including my labor. Paint is single stage original yellow. I would rate it a 8+ driver both inside and out. This is conservative as to not dissapoint anyone. A bit of detailing will make it a 8.5-9. Things I am working on: Hockey stripes, balance wheels, as the disk brakes knocked off weights from the inside. Alignment (is done as of 4/12/12, drives great!). Has one lug bolt on a rear wheel that needs a weld to hold it from spinning. It has not been driven but a couple times so Of course sorting out any minor items that come with a new build will be your job. Lots easier then the build process though! Drivers side wiper base is stripped. I am trying to source one as I just installed them and noticed it. I have not detailed the car nor washed engine compartment since I installed engine etc. So in the pictures it shows the grime of oil etc. Also shows tape is still not burnt off of areas around engine holes from rebuild. All holes were taped to prevent dirt entry prior to install. This verifies my few miles of driving. A pressure wash and elbow grease will dress up the engine compartment which has been repainted with the rest of the car. Enjoy this beauty! Wires are off the floor and vent handles are mounted that show in the pics as being unkempt. I have yet to armorall the interior to make it shime like new but i will today. I have done my best to give a complete and accurate description of this fantastic car. It is sold AS-IS WHERE IS. I expect payment of $500.00 instantly with paypal and then the balance within 10 days. All funds will clear my bank prior to the car leaving. Inspections are welcomed. No feedback or negative feedback will be grounds for cancelled bids and I may remove at anytime due to local sales if it has not met reserve. Call Dan 541-786-0723 with specific questions. No B.S. please. Reserve is very reasonable so do not shy away. It is a contract so bid to own.
