Just purchased this car yesterday at an insurance auction. Hard to find a better color combination than red with tan leather interior with this Mercedes Benz SL320. This benz is a very low mileage car and the engine compartment and interior are in excellent condition. Car starts and runs well and is very quiet. I drove it around the block and it seems to run, shift and drive well, although it will need alignment. Car appears to have been in a front end collision and needs to be properly repaired. It appears to have previously repaired and not done well. Some small trim and miscellaneous pieces are in trunk. AC blows very cold and the interior is absolutely beautiful and in excellent condition. Seats are still soft leather. Stereo is missing as well as one switch in the center console as well as two speaker grills. There is what appears to be a bose amplifier and subwoofer in the compartment behind the driver seat. Car comes with an Original Texas - Reconditioned Title. This car does need some work but it runs and drives nicely, is low mileage with a great interior. The headlights, parking lights, tail lights, brake lights all work. Turn signals do not. It appears that the front left signal bulb is out which may cause the signals to not work? Also, the windscreen is located in the storage compartment in the trunk. This is the screen to place behind the seats to keep the wind from buffeting when the top is down.On Apr-10-12 at 18:03:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Added a few more top down pictures. Pressed the top down button and watched in amazement as the roll bar lowered, the windows rolled down, the rear top lifted up, the top storage compartment lid raised, the front of the top unlatched itself and lowered into the compartment and the lid closed. Amazing how complex this system is and was delighted that it all worked! Unfortunately there is a leak of hydraulic fluid onto the garage floor when operating the top so this leak(s) will need to be fixed. Could be a hose, seal, etc. Not sure as I've never dealt with this type of system before but clearly all the main components do function as they should. (motors, relay, rams, circuits, etc...) Also, the roll bar does raise and lower using the button on the console as well. It is indeed a blue Texas title (standard title) with "Remarks - Rebuilt salvage - damaged". This means that the buyer should simply be able to transfer title like any other title. (if it were a pink Texas title, there are an extra form and extra fee). That's how it works in Texas. Your state may be the same or it could be different. Please check with your state.
