Split windshield Westfalias are getting tough to find, and skyrocketing in value (see the other 66' listed on ebay for $89k!!!) - this one is a great candidate for full restoration, or a solid, patina-laden daily-driver. This bus has traveled the world, with stops in the U.K., Germany, Canada, and even Saudi Arabia (cool old sticker on windshield written in arabic)! This bus is sure to turn heads wherever it goes, not to mention being a solid investment. VW buses are incredibly popular, especially true Westfalia models. If you are looking for a solid foundation to build an incredible bus, or just want a vintage driver that allows you to camp overnight, look no further. Window stickers show he was a member of ADAC, and the arabic sticker is dated 1995. There are also stickers from Ulm (a small city just south of the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, Germany), and Canada. SO-42 kit is complete and intact (minus tent and child's cot) Factory Original spice cabinet - very good condition Very nice fridge with water pump and nozzle All three tables in very good original condition Front bench seat has factory-original salt & pepper covering A vintage gas heater has been installed - this will keep you warm and toasty on those chilly evenings New inner and outer seals for the fiberglass pop-top Jalousie windows (5) are in good shape - 2 pieces of glass are cracked though. All original hardware for interior is intact. The cabinets are very dry with no rot or mold present. The closet features original door mirror and coat hooks. Hard-to-find curtain rods and snaps for the front cab area are still there Original reading lamps Original Pearl White paint approx 75% intact Original front emblem Original front and rear bumpers with overriders and splash pans Original jailbar from a deluxe protects the back glass Engine features dual Weber carbs Aftermarket oil sump 12 volt conversion completed European taillights - appears these were installed during the bus' time overseas 14" wheels with a decent set of white-wall tires and chrome hubcaps Original seats and z-bed are solid - fabric in very good shape New (not installed yet) 12V starter included Clear title The Bad: Rust - has found it's way into the most common areas - doglegs, rockers, sills, front floor etc. Front driver side floor has a hole, passenger side has been repaired by a previous owner with sheetmetal and rivets Lemon-sized holes in cargo floor near door pillars, remainder of cargo floor area appears solid Some rust bubbling under paint on front sill/nose area and in the battery tray area D/S rocker needs repair/replacement - very common to have rust here. Rust in the lower portion of back hatch and decklid. Small hole near windshield corner due to rust Terms: $500 deposit due within 24hrs of auction close (paypal is fine).
