By this I mean that the adjoining body panels are all in precisely the same plane, and have perfectly parallel joints between them.The M3 is also a joy to operate on several counts.It is very fast, for one thing.Zero to 60 is accomplished in a hair under8 seconds. The M3 engine is a bored and stroked version of that 2.8 that displaces 3.2 liters and puts out240 horsepower.Handling is anotherM3 delight. With its special, sport-tuned suspension and wide, low-profile performance tires, theM3 convertible is a cornering fool. It stays flat and composed, and hangs in there as though it's on roller-coaster tracks.One of the pleasant asp acts of the currentM3 is that its suspension doesn't beat you up on rough roads the way the previous model did. It's firm, but not uncomfortable.Other operational joys include the road feel imparted by the steering gear and the prompt, straight stopping accomplished by big disc brakes and an antilock braking system. I also liked the fact that the car's interior is as functional as it is pretty. 1998 BMW M3 Convertible

The M3 is a joy to behold on several counts.

The body styling is handsome and distinctive, and the body fits are invariably first class. By this I mean that the adjoining body panels are all in precisely the same plane, and have perfectly parallel joints between them.

The M3 is also a joy to operate on several counts.

It is very fast, for one thing. Zero to 60 is accomplished in a hair under 8 seconds. The M3 engine is a bored and stroked version of that 2.8 that displaces 3.2 liters and puts out 240 horsepower.

Handling is another M3 delight. With its special, sport-tuned suspension and wide, low-profile performance tires, the M3 convertible is a cornering fool. It stays flat and composed, and hangs in there as though it's on roller-coaster tracks.

One of the pleasant asp acts of the current M3 is that its suspension doesn't beat you up on rough roads the way the previous model did. It's firm, but not uncomfortable.

Other operational joys include the road feel imparted by the steering gear and the prompt, straight stopping accomplished by big disc brakes and an antilock braking system.
