2003 SATURN VUE *PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND BE SURE YOU HAVE FUNDS AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR CAR BEFORE MAKING OFFER...Vehicle does not run and will need to be towed Car does have normal wear and tear for it's age -minor scratches but no dents, etc, a 2" piece of rear bumper snapped off (plastic) in upper corner of bumper. Interior is in good condition, could use cleaning. I have Title, keys, etc so it is ready to go! History: I am third Adult Owner. I purchased 10/2006 with 38,000 miles on it from original elderly male owner who had dealer maintained vehicle. Since I have owned vehicle it has had all scheduled maintenance, has had no major problems other than normal wear and tear items. Recently vehicle began running strange, making noise and died while driving one day. I towed to my mechanic-he stated "engine is frozen, needs new engine"-possible reasons? Timing chain? (This was replaced at 90k miles). He quoted me $1500.00 (Engine can be found online for about $400-500, I found them at http://www.autopartsfair.com/saturn-used_engines/vue-2003-catalog.html?campaign=theautochannel plus $1000 Labor (by my mechanic-may be cheaper?) for replacement with Used engine and labor. I did not have time to deal with and went out and bought new car, decided to sell as is.I have also been told since that it may not need new engine but may be something else? I am not a mechanic so I have no idea. I've already bought new car and don't plan on fixing. Had recent brakes, tune-up, oil/filter. Tires have about 20% tread, will eventually need to be replaced. Everything else is in good working order, no rust, accidents, etc. Minor wear & tear, normal for vehicle age. Is currently inspected and insured but not drivable-would need to be towed, picked up.
