Vehicle Detail
1969 Plymouth Road Runner Sunfire Yellow Body: This car was in storage for the past 25 years. The left fender is in very good condition with minor dings, no significant dents and no rust-out. Ditto for the driver's door. The left quarter has lower rust in front of and behind the rear wheel. The deck lid has very little rust around the lip, no rust holes and only a few minor dings. The trunk floor and trunk drops will all need to be replaced as seen in the pictures. The rear bumper cross member, rear spring mounts and frame rails are in excellent condition, no scale. The passenger quarter has been replaced long ago from the body line down and will need to be replaced AGAIN. The passenger door is solid but shows signs of old body work. The right fender is solid, small pin holes in the bottom, dent in the front near the headlight bezel. The hood is salvageable but is probably cheaper to replace with AMD. The cowl screen and roof are nice due to the years of indoor storage. The front frame rails and the torsion bar cross member are in excellent condition. All the floor pans are nice except for a small hole in the passenger side front (smaller than a dollar bill). Most of them have the majority of the factory paint. Mechanical: 1970 440 motor, not locked up, fairly complete, most likely will need rebuild. The transmission will probably need to be rebuilt as well. 8 3/4 rear, 323 rear. This car has been sitting for at least 25 years so all of the mechanicals will need a rebuild of some sort. 4 wheel drum breaks. Interior: The interior is completely intact, pulled the carpet out to inspect floor pans. All the cores are there, factory thumb wheel, steering wheel, and seats. It will all need to be redone but you won't have to spend a lot of time looking for the original parts. Please call (804) 837-4527 if you have any questions.
