Vehicle Detail
Chassis # 9114111776 Engine # 6143738 Paint # 137-9-2 1974 Porsche 911 Targa, lime green with a black leather interior. 2.7 liter engine. A/C. Showing 96,000 miles on the odometer. Carrera whale tail. The body is all in primer and ready to be painted. All the bodywork has been done. There is no rust on the car although it did have rust in the past which was repaired as you can see in the pictures. The restoration was started and then stopped so there are a lot of parts and pieces in boxes, such as all the lights, trims, door panels, passenger seats, rear seats, all the glass and more. They all come with the car. As far as I can see all the parts are there, I laid everything on the ground and took pictures of what is there. The damage you can see to the driver’s door occurred during transportation while the car was coming to me a few days ago. The hinges are okay, there was no structural damage to the frame, it is just the door and I am trying to get a replacement door which off course will come with the car. The doors do not shut due to the hinges and door handles being removed. The car is missing the spare tire and tool kit, but it comes with a jack. It has the desirable Fuchs wheels and good tires. The engine was completely rebuilt in 1985 and since then there are 4,500 miles on it. The car runs and drives, but due to the long term storage it is not road worthy, all the fluids need to be changed and the car needs to be driven. There are some minor oil leaks in the engine. It was in indoor storage for the last fifteen years. The leather seats are in excellent condition, no cracks or signs of wear. Leather Nardi steering wheel. The dashboard has some cracks. Needs new carpets. No rust on the battery box area. The paperwork includes a $3,594 bill from a Porsche specialist for the engine rebuild and the original owner’s manual. Excellent restoration project for you to finish and bring this original car back to life! Many more pictures available upon request. Please feel free to come and examine the car.
