Vehicle Detail
Here is a very clean 55 plymouth coupe with a flat head six and automatic. The engine purrs like a kitten, has good oil pressure, doesn't overheat, and has a newer modern radiator installed. the transmission shifts well. The Brakes work as well. I have had the car in a dry and secure garage for the last four years. It's a pleasure to look at, But I rarely drove it. The turn signals, windshield wipers, and horn work, but the radio doesn't. I believe the headlight switch needs to be replaced as well. The auto choke doesn't work, but i could install a manual one if the car sells. The generator charges fine, and I just bought a new battery. I had the top painted a darker blue in order to give the car a little character. The paint on the rest of the car is really nice, but an older job, prior to my purchase of the car. This isn't a show quality car! However, it pushes a #2 pretty hard. this is a great driver quality automobile.I did find some minor bubbles under the paint behind the rear wheels and the license plate, as well as a small spot behind the passenger rear glass where the roof meets the lower body. the inner panels are all there, and there is no sign of any rust or previous repair. I imagine there is some plastic under the paint to finish any quarter repairs, but I have no Knowledge of what was done, if anything. , but that is the way it is on a 57 year old car. The body is super straight, as I coudn't see any sign of previous rust out on the floors, rockers, trunk, or rear header panel or headlight area, common areas of rust on these old plymouths. I felt the miles were original, as I was told it was in an enclosed garage for many years prior to my purchase. The interior has been done also, with a new headliner, carpet, and seat covers. The tires are new, with the nubbies still showing. I had intended to put a desoto hemi in the car and modernize it, But I've decided against it. Please come look at it personally, and you will love it! Please don't bid unless you Intend to buy the car! I require a $500.00 dollar Non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of bidding by paypal. I won't accept paypal for the balance unless the buyer pays the extra fees to paypal. Please feel free to call me @ 402-468-4318 (Timothy) with any questions! I've been working on these old mopars since the 60's, and can answer most questions, and if not, i'll get the answer. This car Isn't presently licensed for the road, but it goes down the road like the 55 it was meant to be.
