1989 BUICK REATTA 3.8L V6 AUTO TRANS Up for auction is a super sharp 1989 Buick Reatta. Powered by the venerable 3.8L V6 and an overdrive automatic transmission. Buick's first 2 seater since 1940! Only about 7,000 Reatta's were made in '89 and just over 20,000 during its 4 year run. With a price tag of about 37k, the Reatta was a premium sport coupe. The photos show how sharp this Reatta is. The metallic burgandy paint shines brightly. The interior is way above average. The Reatta was clearly ahead of its time as immediately evidenced by info and control screen right in the middle of the dash. It has on board diagnostics that checks over the vehicle every time its started. Note the picture with the diagnostic check. It's also used for climate control setting, stereo settings, gauges and more. This coupe has power windows, mirrors, sunroof, air, cruise, fog lamps, power locks, ABS breaks power seats, bose stereo, power antenna and more. It has good Kumho rubber and original stock rims plus an aftermarket spoiler. The Reatta will get about 23 mpg overall. Mechanically, the Reatta drives great. Starts right up, idles well, drives straight and stops like it should. No idiot or warning lights are on. It shifts smooth without any jerking or slipping. Buick's been making the 3.8l engine for years with a great history of reliability and durability. The spare and jack look unused. The body is in great shape with only a couple of minor imperfections leaving it short of near mint. Upon closer inspection I noticed a light rub above the reatta emblem on the passenger side and a hairline paint crack on the driver's front fender. Probably not noticeable in the pics. It also comes with the remote key fob put It is unresponsive. It may need to be reprogrammed or replaced. The haolgen headlights work fine, but the headlights must be raised manually. The driver's side power seats (16 way?) work with the exception of back and forth. All in all, these are maintenance items the average guy can take care of.
