Chevrolet 1951 1/2 ton RARE DUEL SPARE tire side mount pick-up. This is a VERY rare pick-up, in great restoreable condition. It was last registered to the Harrahs automobile collection in Reno Nevada, probably to be restored. See picture of pink slip. It is a very straight, they must have bought it for a reason. The engine is a 216 that starts right up and doesn't smoke, and for as old as it is I don't no why, but it runs good.The original 4 speed tranny shifts nicely through all the gears with no bad noises . Same thing for the rear end. The brakes work, but the master cylinder leaks, so I would not call this truck a driver. It also has a brand new gas tank and fuel lines and filter. Parking brake also works well. I would like any one looking to notice how nicely the hood, fenders, and doors align! Most of these old trucks have had damage so they do not alighn properly, but not this old girl, she's cherrry. I have ran my hands inside of all the doors and fenders and can't find any dents. The only body damage is on the passenger side rear fender at the bottom, where the running board meets the fender, see pics. It has all it's glass, with only a crack to one window. The rear and corner glasses are beatiful, no scratches. There is absolutely nothing missing on this truck. Every knob, piece of trim, heater control, door handle, door panel trim, headliner bows, etc is there, just needing restoration. It also has all 6 16 inch wheels, with all the clips for the center caps in place, in great condition. It's nice to start with a project where it's all there! No need to go and find half the crap! The doors are in beatiful condition, no cancer, the cab corners are cherry, see pic's. There is rust in the floor pans, worst in on the passenger side, not as bad on the drivers side. Also there is rust in front of the doors on the lower panel on each side which is very common on these trucks. Even here in California, most of the trucks I have looked at have rust in those spots. This truck also has GREAT patina that you just can't reproduce if you want to build that kind of truck. I have a few friends who think it should be built inside but leave the outside alone, since this look created by years of mother nature is hard to reproduce and is rare. This is truly a GREAT find, that I don't have the place to properly restore, because my wife and I are moving soon. Also included is a cool visor and front grill gaurd.
