Too many cars and too many bills force me to sell the one car I can just hop in and drive anywhere. 100% reliable since the day I bought it. I have had to do nothing but change the oil and put gas in it. I do have one other extremely reliable Dart but with twice the mileage of this one. Hey, I have to have SOMETHING I can drive! My Pro Street cars just aren't practical. I am the second owner of this car. It was originally purchased at Van Ness Dodge in San Francisco, where my Dad worked from the 60's thru the early 80's when Van Ness Dodge closed its doors. This car spent most of its life in the Sunset district of SF. As I type this, there are 55,329 actual miles on the car. I have put less than 2000 miles on it since I have owned it. The car is 100% numbers matching. Everything on the car is original to the car including the radiator. The obvious things like the hoses, fan belt and tires are not original. The car has always been meticulously maintained. Everything on the car works as it should; lights, signals, wipers, lighter, windows, all latches (door, trunk, hood & glove box), etc. The 273 V8 engine runs flawlessly and has a ton of surprising torque. The auto trans shifts like new. Everything is tight; steering (manual), suspension, u-joints, rear end, etc. There are no squeaks or rattles whatsoever. The manual brakes work perfectly with plenty left on the shoes. The e-brake is adjusted perfectly and holds the car in neutral, even on the steepest hill (my driveway). The body is straight with only a couple very very minor imperfections. There is an area on the back of the trunk lid where there was a repair and bondo has cracked there. I am a bodyman and I can repair it and put it in primer (will probably be a 12" X 10" patch of primer) at a very reasonable cost if the buyer decides, but only after the car is paid for. The paint is otherwise in very good shape with a slight fade on the top areas. The body trim is complete and in excellent condition with no dings. The taillight lenses are perfect, the housings are excellent with no damage and have great chrome. The headlight bezels are near perfect. The grill is perfect. The bumpers have no dings or dents and the chrome is excellent. All weatherstripping is soft and pliable, no tears, and all doors seal 100%. No wind noise when windows are rolled up. The interior is all original except for a re-upholstery job on the seats many years ago. The carpet is in good shape. The door panels are perfect. The headliner is perfect. The upper dash pad has 2 minor cracks. The lower dash pad is perfect. The chrome on the dash panel is excellent, the sunvisors are perfect without any fading at all. Even the rubber tips are perfect. The sill plates have have no dings, just very light scuffs, and they still shine as you can see in the pics. The thumbwheel radio works perfectly, even without the antenna, but an antenna would probably bring in more stations. All windows in the car are perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to hop in, tap the key once and drive this sweet Dart across the country with utter confidence. It runs that good. Feel free to ask questions.
