Vehicle Detail

This 68 Dart GT has 78,000 original miles w/ #'s matching (with fender tag)318 c.i. w 904 trans and a 7.25 gear. Spent its entire life in Cincinatti Ohio. Everything with the driveline is original except the carb and intake which was switched out for an Edelbrock and Holley. Does run and it will start with starting fluid but haven't gone any farther than that. The interior will need carpet and the seat covers need replacing. The console is real nice, not all pitted up. Headliner, door panels, dash board/ instrument cluster,console/shifter insert and steering wheel are very nice as well. So the interior isnt much to worry about. The main thing with the car is the obvious body work, which is typical with a 44 year old "NEVER TOUCHED" Mopar . The doors are in great shape with some surface rust. The engine bay/firewall,radiator core support is real clean. It will need rear qaurters, front fenders, trunk pan is good but there is some rust, floor board on drivers side for sure, havent removed interior/carpet to see,but from underneath I dont see any obvious holes anywhere else. But media blasting will tell all. The frame is good,as well as the torsion bar boxes. Although there is on small section all the way at the rear of the drivers side frame rail that is rusted out. BUT AGAIN,THIS IS A 44 YEAR OLD CAR that has never been touched, still has original shocks!! Nice tail lights, body trim(except one piece has screws in it). The original rally rims(small bolt pattern) and grill/headlight bezels and the trunk finish panel are all in unbelievably mint condition, except for one small spot(see pic)on the trunk finish panel. Still has original jack set up. BTW..for most familiar/knowledgable Mopar fans of this year/model car,you should know the interior and exterior "ORIGINAL"parts I mentioned to be in excellent condition, are the most difficult parts to find for a 68 GT if you need them. For what I'm setting my low reserve for, it's well worth it,just for the parts alone. If you have any questions or are interested in buying the car... as it is for sale locally,in a "buy it now" purchase... feel free to contact me (leave your #)and I'll call to answer questions. Thanks for your interest and Good Luck on this LOW RESERVE AUCTION! I have more pictures,BUT lets be reasonable here...this is a 44 year old car that is ALL original as it came from the dealer. It has some rust and needs total restoration. It's NOT a California car or from a desert in Arizona. Jus Sayin.... I will tell you all I know about the car as honestly as I would expect to be told.
