I am going to be very accurate in listing both the pros and con sides of it esp.the deficiency side of it .My Goal is to , as accurately as poss. give a picture of this , SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. NOTHING LESS AT THE LEAST, AND THERE IS NO MISMATCH OF EXPECTATIONS...."Oh I thought I just got a good deal in getting a Mercedes / Lexus for $2500...... and this car is no where close to a Mercedes....". By trying to be as honest about the condition- I hope to avoid , you taking such fantasy trips like what I just gave.So ...pl read on ....Long story short - a running Mazda MPV with DVD, Full Power Features, 3rd row seat , GPS , Leather, sun roof etc , with some unidentified Exhaust problem , that I do not have time to fix and get smogged. Some normal rusting on the undercarriage ( see picture posted ) , as with all east coast autos ( I bought this pup from Philly ) and a slight bumper damage (Just one corner damage.Easy to live with -obvious not a total blemish-see the picture posted of it or spend $50-75 for a new bumper @ pick and pull ) .If you need any more pics - I can email them. AFTER I got all this work done - I got is smogged ( Nov 2010) and it passed the smog tests without problem ( that smog ceritifcate is attached in the pictures ) . Before I could put it up for sale and I had to leave town and It just got left off and has been gathering dust ever since Got a BRAND NEW BATTERY LESS THAN A MONTH AGO. NOW THE NOT SO GOOD PART - I travel out of town all the time - part of my work. I do not have time for upkeep of this vehicle any more - esp. I cannot devote any time or resource to get the SUV smogged. It does seem to have an exhaust leak or something like that - but drives around.. It does not have any check engine codes . Like I said - I do not have the time to have someone take it around to mechanics and then follow up on it on my behalf. When I took it few months ago for a diagnosis - those differed from mechanic to mechanic. One fellow said it needs a $100 fuel injection flush , another guy told me the exhaust needs to change . I am not knowledgeable enough to decide on whom to trust , and not interested in being pushed around on a parts buying trip. So that is my loss- your gain - its lying around for a long time here - and you get it a the bidding price . Once again -if you are in state of ca- please do not bid unless you take the onus of smogging it. If you tell me I ( the seller ) am required to smog the suv , before selling it - its gonna be a waste of my time and yours because I will simply call off the deal , having said that ..just a little over 3 months ago - it cleared the smog test. ( I am putting a scanned copy of the smog clearance report - little over 3 months old , here with the pics the right rear door seems stuck ( could need oiling to free the child lock). There is rust on the underneath - as is normal for any east coast based car ( See pic posted of the undercarriage ), the gas gauge got stuck a few days ago. Maybe it 'll just free itself later ..not sure. There is slight damage on the left corner of the bumper –its not overtly a blemish though noticeable ( see pictures ) . It has not been in any accident . Someone just got away nudging it at a parking lot . There is a hair line crack on the drivers side door glass. Not sure if the glass cracked or its just the tint. The window on Drivers , rolls down 80% instead of full. Does’nt really affect the functionality but again-trying to give just as much detail It was very handy when I had a family - I got divorced and barely have use of more than 1 seat in a car. )once again - I do not have the time to break my head - getting it smogged again . So please understand and bid . ALSO if you 'd like more time to come pick up the SUV , then I can wait for upto a month ( I will try for more ) How is the exterior and Interior ?Exterior and Interior are like as shown but since the suv has been lying around - it will need some tlc inside and outside.Does this car run well.. can it make it upto xyz place ?YES.It drives around-best of my knowledge. In 2010 I drove it some 1000 odd miles from NM to CA and that time it drove just fine. Since then it has been lying around my house gathering dust for the most . If I have the time - before auction end - I will post a youtube video of the car being driven . Last time It was driven - it did have some sort of exhaust problem and a cursory inspection by a nearby gas station mechanic , indicated, the problem could be anywhere - before exhaust or within exhaust.Also when you start it ,you need more than 1 attempt but it does start. But there is no check engine light - apparently codes are clear -so it has to be a diagnosis based on experience - is what he said. He STRONGLY suggested I keep it because Mazda MPV's of 1995-1998 years can easily be found at most pick and pull locations ( go to pick and pull ) and so parts , now and in future will not be expensive . Like I said - I dont need this big a vehicle. Will the DVD player player stuff from Flash Drive ?YES there is an attachment in the DVD player , where you can connect a flash drive ( USB Drive / Thumb Drive ) and play stuff. I think it plays only MP3 files and movies in DVD format that. It can ALSO HAS AN SD CARD SLOT inside to play stuff from your SD card, though I am not sure what format it reads and what it does not. Did you Drive the SUV recently to see how it moves ?YES I DID TEST THE SUV AND DROVE IT about a week ago, FOR 2-3 MILES and it moved fine. Only thing ( and I mentioned this earlier ) - it tends to feel a bit weak on extreme uphill roads - and you have the step on a gas couple more times to get speed. Otherwise all is well .Also the Gas Guage Stopped working , when we tested it today. I dont know if it just got stuck up or some other problem.PLEASE SEE THE LAST PICTURE I ATTACHED OF THE DASH WITH THE RPM COUNTER NEAR LEVEL 2 . THIS WAS TAKEN WITH THE SUV IN 'RAVING' MODE.
