Vehicle Detail
1999 Honda Civic Ex Turbo 120,057 miles on the car 19,000 miles on built engine I purchased this car from a personal friend I used to work with about 6yrs ago.... I've invested a lot into this car, and have found myself procrastinating when it came to finally posting this eBay ad! I've had the car on a dyno once a couple years ago with the stock motor, but I've never had it on the track. It's been a great car, especially after finally investing in a fully built motor it's very reliable. It was for the most part always a second car/fun car, yet found myself driving it daily most of the time. Compression is great across the board and Royal Purple oil is used every 4k miles Engine Fully built D16Y8 engine Bored 20 over Block gaurd Vitara pistons/rings - 9.0/1 compression Eagle rods Eagle rod studs ARP head studs Cometic head gasket Decked/Ported/Polished Y8 head Crower Stg1 turbo cam PN#63441YT Crower race valve spring set PN#68180-16 1mm oversized stainless valves AEM adjustable cam pulley (+/- 10deg) Poly mount inserts Skunk2 Racing aluminum intake(port matched to throttlebody) 71mm oversized throttlebody Transmission/Clutch Stock Y8 5spd trans Stg2 clutch from xencron(80% more clamping force) 7lb aluminum lightweight flywheel Blox short throw shifter w/poly mounts + stainless bearing bushings Turbo/Exhaust System Turbonetics T3 Turbo (specs unknown) Turbonetics manual boost controller Turbonetics intercooler and piping Ebay tubular turbo manifold XSPower wastegate(open dump under car) HKS blowoff valve 3" downpipe w/5 bolt flange Greddy 2.5" stainless cat-back exhaust w/4.25" tip Catless Fuel System/Tuning Walbro 255 HO fuel pump Factory fuel filter Analog fuel pressure gauge(mounted to fuel filter underhood) AEM adjustable fuel pressure regulator RC Racing 440cc fuel injectors Apexi Neo VAFC/v-tec controller Chipped P28 OBD1 ECU OBD2 to OBD1 conversion adapter harness Tuned using Crome to roughly 11-12psi w/93octane Susupension/Tires/Wheels Dropzone front and rear springs and struts(1.5" drop) New 15x7 Gold Double 5 spoke lightweight wheels Front tires:GForce T/A Drag Radials - 205/50/15(50% tread, some dry rot from storage) Rear tires: Falken ZIEX ZE512 - 205/50/15(90% tread, great condition) WINTER WHEELS/TIRES::: set of 4 Blizzak snow tires with 80% tread left... mounted on factory Civic steel wheels with factory hub caps and lug nuts Dash/Gauges Gauge insert replacement w/molded dual gauge pods Innovate digital wideband gauge Analog vac/boost guage (multicolor) Greddy full auto programmable turbo timer w/proper plug & play harness VAFC Apexi Neo computer controller (mounted to dash) Sony MP3/CD headunit Stock 6 speaker stereo system w/ door mounted tweeters System wired for fused amp/subs setup in trunk with RCA/Power/Ground Aluminum foot pedals Viper Alarm System w/ key fob Misc. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. There is a dent and scratch on passenger door just behind side mirror, although not very noticable. There's also a spot just above the left rear wheel well, the previous owner had lightly backed into his wifes car, also hard to notice. The only other thing is the lower front bumper that goes across the bottom of the intercooler has a crack from hitting a raccoon. Other than that, there is typical minor scratch/dent here or there which is to be expected and I would say normal for any car with 120k miles. Overall the body has NO RUST AT ALL! I just went over the car with a claybar and waxed it with orbital. Looks great! The interior is in overall decent condition.... I'd give it a 7 out of 10 as well. The front and back seats look great, there may be a small cigarette burn in driver seat from previous owner but not noticable. The dash and center console are in great condition. The downside to the interior is the carpet, could use a steam cleaning in the front foot areas and be good as new. Engine/Trans Overall Condition Engine and trans are in overall really good condition.... The built engine(built by Speedquest in Waukegan) only has about 19,000 miles on it, the rest of the work/tuning was done by me. It's built to take 500-600hp, but was running conservative tune on low boost(roughly 300hp @ 11-12psi). The transmission is in good condition as well... I replaced the trans about 30k miles ago and haven't had a problems since. What the car needs Just out of storage last year and the exhaust side turbo seal started leaking causing a little smoke out the tailpipe. Being pre-occupied with life in general and rather than drive it and make it worse, I decided to put it back in storage(indoor/heated). Unfortunately I'm realizing I don't have the time, space or money to invest into it any longer. The P28 ECU currently running the car has a short in the fuel pump circuit, so it will need a new chipped P28 ECU($100 or your choice of computer and tuning). As of right now the car is running on the factory computer and briefly fuel tuned it with Apexi Neo so I can run it around the parking lot and pull it in and out of the shop. As far as maintenance, the only thing I can think of is maybe doing a basic lifter adjustment as local Honda techs recommended every 20-30k especially with aftermarket valvetrain, and they tend to get more noisy when out of adjustment. A/C compressor and condenser were removed from the car to allow room for the tubular turbo manifold and 3" downpipe... These parts come with the car, and can easily be re-installed if you want. Extra Parts Also have many Honda parts if interested.... if so message me. Technically you should be able to find a decent turbo and ECU online and have the car running great by next week for CHEAP! If you have any questions please message me, thanks for looking! On Mar-08-12 at 16:12:20 PST, seller added the following information: (EDIT) ADDED YOUTUBE VIDEO:::: 40-125mph http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lsq0EQrZRHg&feature=channelOn Mar-08-12 at 16:27:30 PST, seller added the following information: (EDIT) ADDED YOUTUBE VIDEO #2 :::: Dyno run with old/factory engine.... 238whp @10psi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0iugiA2eYc&feature=g-hist&context=G2fcfa6aAHT0dJgwAFAA
