1956 GMC BIG-WINDOW 1/2TON PICKUP As you can see from the pictures, this truck is VERY solid and would make a great restoration or hotrod project. It is prime SOLID MONTANA STEEL WITH A CLEAR MONTANA TITLE. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION: This truck has no engine, but has a 4spd manual transmission, driveshaft and rearend that all seem to be in working order. SHEET METAL: The sheet metal is extremely solid. Floors, step area inside either door, and doors themselves have only minor surface rust - NO rust through on either side. Cab corners are both solid with a small bit of rust in the flat area of one corner. The other corner is very solid with no rust at all. Bottoms of the doors are solid with no rust. Fenders are both extremely solid with rust beginning in the typical areas, but VERY minor. Driver's fender has a small dent on top flat surface near headlight. There is NO rust above the windshield or below the rear window (aside from minor surface rust that is easily rubbed off various different areas of the truck). THIS CAB IS IN INCREDIBLE CONDITION. A NEW BIG-WINDOW CAB SELLS NEW FROM ECKLER'S FOR $8000.00. Box is very solid but is in need of new wood in the bed. Passenger rear fender has minor damage, but is very solid and repairable. INTERIOR: The interior is also VERY complete missing only the heater control unit. The plate that covers the radio holes is there, but not on. THE DASH IS PADDED AND DOESN'T HAVE A CRACK!!! Also, the brushed aluminum dash cluster with guages is complete and in great shape. The seat is also in great condition and doesn't have a rip!!! GLASS: The rear big-window glass is in perfect condition! The windshield has a couple of rock chips in it. Wing vents are good, but one door window requires replacement. TRIM: The chrome/stainless trim around cab and around windows is complete and in great shape. Standard deposit/payment requirements through ebay apply.
