We specialize in antique cars and parts.TVR 280I*This car is being re-listed due to an overseas buyer who did not fulfill the eBay contract.* This car came from a collection of vehicles that we recently purchased from a repair shop. Only 5,896 original miles. There were only 862 of these made during 1980-1988. This is one of the last series. This is an original Pennsylvanian car. The story goes.. a gentleman bought the car and took his wife for a ride. She thought it was too fast for him and made him park it. It has been sitting ever since September 1997. You can see an old inspection sticker in photos. Car was stored outside for the last year or so. It was covered up, but it was exposed to the elements. We did remove the old carpet, because it was damp and deteriorating. Some of the wood is coming off inside. You can see in the photos. It does has a few light bulbs out. The seats do not look to too bad on a quick check. Most of all the electric works including the power windows. The windshield and post are cracked.No back window. You can also see this in the photos.We did change the gas, fuel pump, coolant, and flushed the fuel system. We also removed & rebuilt started, clutch master cylinder, ground cables, and battery. The clutch was also bled. Now the car starts right up! We test drove this car for a few miles. It runs strong and shift in all gears. The brakes do work as well, however the car will need front bushings on front radius rods because they are missing from deterioration. There are two small spots on the frame that have some rust on the side middle of door underneath. You can see in photos. It is not bad at all. Other than that, this car is sound.IMPORTANT! This car has been sitting for around 15 years. Please do not ask us if this car can be driven home. We recommend that this car is thoroughly safety checked before driven. This is an excellent candidate for an excellent restoration!! These TVR's are becoming quite a collectors' item, and they are getting hard to come by.
