Vehicle Detail
Bought this car about a year ago and as you can see by the pictures, it had some body damage on it and several body panels were replaced, I personally have not done any, or had any body work done to it. The owner before me had started the repairs but fell into poor health and let it sit for awhile before selling it to me. Vehicle, when it was running it ran very good, drove smooth and no problems with shifting. So here are the things I have done to the vehicle, mostly by professional mechanic. Personally, I have added freon and replaced radiator and heater hoses as needed. And also I did a transmission flush from a you tube video I found, worked great and saved me almost $200. The other mechanic repairs are: replaced motor mounts, and there were 5 for this sucker. Brakes front disc. Belts main and a/c. Tune up. Here are the problems it was having when I was driving it: Seemed like the idle would sometimes go lower than normal, but not enough to make the engine die, and when you accelerated it took off great no hesitation. As a side note: "this thing has 160 mph on the speedometer, made for european driving I suppose, and the sticker shows that this is a Japanese built edition". Back to problems: At the end of last summer here in Oklahoma, the A/C started losing freon, I never got that fixed or the idle thing. Now main reason its down for the count: Timing belt, and a mechanic gave me a price I can't afford, also I am having money issues right now, and I dont want to put anymore money into it. Besides the body needing a paint job, the interior could definately use a steam cleaning, and there is a small rip on the dash that you can see in one of the pictures. Ok, good things: Nice BF Goodrich tires Pro Touring T/A lots of tread left on those, mag wheels with lock nuts, I have the key! As I said it was running great, doesnt use oil, no leaks. It has power locks and windows and all work fine. Cruise control works fine as well. Cd radio, missing a knob on it, but works. Car cranks over fine just no start. When it went out on me it was right in front of my house, luckily, I was sitting at the stop sign and it started running like it was on one cylinder then thats all she wrote! I was told that prolly saved any extra damage that might happen if I was running high speed. Clear Title! Contact me if you wish, or email ?'s. (YOU HAVE TO TOW VEHICLE AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE) Robert. On Mar-04-12 at 14:13:52 PST, seller added the following information: I am not a mechanic but have had that problem before and it was the timing belt, and the mechanic told me from a descripion of the problem only that it was probably the timing belt. This is AS-IS obviously!
