Vehicle Detail
1978 Honda CB750F Super Sport in nice original condition. Below is a list of the problems I found with the bike: 1. The horn does not work?? 2. The flasher relay is faulty 3. Clear coat on the gas tank has some bubbles in it and has started flaking off. I believe the tank has been repainted back to the corect black coloe with the OEM striping & logos re-applied. The tank is very clean inside and does have some small dings and scratches on the outside but the clearcoat is the biggesst issue. 4. The headlight high beam is not working. Low beam works perfect. 5. The clutch seems to drag slightly and is really only noticeable if I try to shift from 1st to nuetral while sitting still. Otherwise, the transmission shifts perfectly through all the gears and feels solid. 6. I am not 100% sure that cyl 2 and 4 are firing consistently? These cylinders feel like they fire under power and the pipes are warm where as cyl 1-3 are hot to the touch. I have disassembled and cleaned all 4 carbs and the jets (main 115, pilot 35) blew through fine but were not replaced with new. The bike sat for approx 8 years and the carbs were VERY dirty and varnished. They were media cleaned, and then ran through ultra sonic. Tha carbs now are VERY clean but could prob use a rebuilt kit to tidy up the jetting. Also has 4 new NGK plugs. 7. Rear brake does not work?? Could be as simple as bleeding job or as complex as a rebuild?? 8. The center stand hits the chain when sitting or riding? Not sure why, could be a rubber stopper missing or a bracket? Overall this bike is pretty nice and definitely a cool ride. The side covers are both damaged and need to be replaced. The seat and duck tail assembly are PERFECT! Comes with the original owners manual and the tool kit. There may be other problems I have not noticed but please ask questions before bidding. I have included a link below to more nice pics and video of the bike starting and running. Good luck bidding!!!!
