Vehicle Detail
This is a 2003 White SL500 with 70k miles and I have personally owned this car since it had 19k miles. The car runs and drives but has a Certificate of Destruction, so this car is being sold as is, where is. Short story behind the car, I had purchased the SL500 in Sarasota years ago. In 2008 there was an incedent where the vehicle had went through some water (exhaust pipe high, not over the roof like your are picturing) and cracked the engine block on the car at 50k+/- miles. Geico was my insurance company at the time and told me I would get a salvage title back, I then fixed the car with my insurance monies, only later to find out they recorded a Florida Certificate of Destruction at the DMV. I have attached the document that Geico gave me stating that the car was salvage, rather than a COD. You could try to force Geico to fix the issue, or title the car in a different state by doing a garage keeper. My days are over with this car and I just want to sell it with no minumum bid. If you wish to view the car and start it up, please do so prior to the auctions end. This car again is being sold as is where is and must be checked out prior to auction. This car is also going to need a right side strut in the near future, when the car is turned off for days at a time the right side of the car leans a bit to the right, but when you start the car, it stands up straight. It may be lack of hydrolic fluid or the strut, your guess is good as mine. The car drives normal and not slanted. This car will have to be towed as it is a COD, you cannot drive this away to your beach house, unless you have a dealer tag.
