I have had this falcon econoline station bus for about two years, I did the wheel bearings, put in a new straight six 170 and a $300.00 clutch. This is a three speed on the column, and has a taller than usual rear end gear and will cruise easily at 70mph+. High blue book on this van is 12k and average is 6k. I painted it with industrial strength farm equipment paint to inhibit rust until I could get to the small amount of body work needed. The body is very straight and the van drives and stops well. The lights, signals, rebuilt heater fan, wiper motor all work. there are two newer covered lowback front seats and the rest of the interior is stripped for use to haul stuff, there is carpet padding and indoor outdoor carpet inside and that is all, which is why there are no additional interior photos. The tires are also brand new and on fairly respectable baby moons, all tires are bias ply and period correct, double stripe dunlops on back, no names up front. This is being sold as a project. On Mar-03-12 at 13:25:58 PST, seller added the following information: Quite a few of you have asked for additional photos, at the bottom of this text you should see a photobucket link, these photos are fairly clear as to what issues body work wise you'll be looking at. Passenger side step pocket area, 1/2 hole in roof, 1/2 hole on passenger side behind front door, and driver side rear corner which is the worst. The title to the van is free and clear and in my possession. I have described the van as a "project" but up until a few weeks ago when we got a family vehicle for the twin boys that are coming, I drove this van every day. Would I drive it drive to California, or Montana? Yes I would, I drive it about 65 as that seems to be where its happy, that being said I can't vouch for it's reliability other than the motor and clutch are less than 2000 miles old, and its a ford straight six, come on. You may notice that the windows are not tinted, I decided to paint them from the inside as I used this to haul music equipment, scooters and other valuables, I'm sure those so inclined could scrape it with a razor and apply tint, again "project" the rear bay opening is 4 foot by 4 foot and 7 feet from the inside of the closed doors to the base of the doghouse where the motor is so for the guy wanting to haul sheets of plywood you would need to build a rack above the motor that ended behind the seats. The starter has hung since I put the motor in and so makes noise after it starts for about a second, I don't mind it, but thought I'd mention it, the van starts every time no problem, stops as well as it should, I would imagine it'll need brake pads before a long time only because I haven't messed with them since Iv'e had it. I pulled out the step side for a photo. It is supposed to be door activated but is sort of useless and gets stuck, but is cool. For what my opinions worth, I think it's every bit of $3500 and am only selling it because I have to. I thought I would mention that if someone was planning on driving the van home, they might want to arrange for a passenger side mirror, as the van does not currently have one and with the windows on all sides being blacked out lane changes can be scary.
