1969 TRIUMPH TR-6. I doubt that many cars from 1969 still have their original paint, let alone a British car from the late 60s.....this Triumph TR-6 does retain its original paint applied in 1969. No surprises under the paint and nothing to come bubbling up from under the paint in the future. As you can see, this is a rock solid original rust free car. It has a nice classic white with red interior combination. This car has been refurbished by the previous owner. The list of new parts and refurbished parts is very long....I'm sure that I will leave something out: NEW - Factory steel rims, Michelin tires, lug nuts, TR-6 center caps w/new springs. NEW - Brake system; including calipers, rotors, brake lines, wheel cylinders, pads, shoes, master cylinder. NEW- Suspension; including shocks, springs, bushings, tire rods etc. (see pics). NEW- Exhaust, pre-fabricated factory style exhaust w/dual tips. NEW- Clutch assembly; new clutch, clutch master & slave cylinder, new clutch fluid lines. NEW - Water pump, cooling hoses, thermostat, radiator shroud, cooling fan (refurbished radiator). NEW- Windshield weatherstriping (base of windshield/around the windshield w/new 'chrome' insert). NEW- Carpet, seat covers, door panels, rear panels, soft-top NEW- Wood dash, upper and lower vinyl dash pads, interior door handles and window handles. The carburators have both been rebuilt and balanced, the engine has had a complete tune-up. The gauges all look nice and they all work, the blower fan works, wipers work. The engine sounds good with no leaks or smoking, and the trans shifts well. The engine and transmission were not rebuilt. Naturally, the paint being original does have years of use/wear, the white color makes it difficult to pick up the blemishes by the camera. There are bird dropping stains on the hood, minor chips/scratches/marks and edges around the car where buffing/polishing have worn the paint back. The drivers door does have a shallow crease and shallow dent (again, difficult to pick up with the camers). The outside chrome and bumpers are original and unrestored. Under the battery there is a small hole where battery acid and moisture have eaten through. Any minor surface rust around the battery area or any minor spots around the car can easily be hand sanded out. When polished out, I would consider the paint a nice six-footer! This car was a garage labour of love/refurbishment for the previous owner for the past half-dozen years or so, unfortunately the onset of Parkinsons denied him the pleasure of driving and enjoying the car. Therefore, the car will need some breaking-in/shakedown miles and minor fine tuning/adjustments before considering it a daily driver. The car has a clear and clean California title on a non-op, no back fees due.
