This is our families classic 1984 Mercedes 500 sec, similar to the one in the movie Road House with Patric Swayze. We've owned this great sec for nearly 10 years. It's been stored inside a climate controlled garage, and is in rust free condition. It looks fantastic for its age. You could drive this car across country and be good. The 500 sec is and was the only off assembly line, hand made, custom Mercedes Benz It has an aluminum hood and trunk with a bosch fuel injection system There were only about 6500 made in 1984, and cost $57,000 Dollars plus freight and taxes We are the 3rd owner. It was owned by a woman then purchased by her Mercedes mechanic. Rebuilt German transmission installed, was 5K. Timing chain and rails were serviced at 103K, it currently only has 144500. Runs great! Shifts great! They can run 500k Has clean oil and filter as always.It gets driven about 600 to 1000 miles per year. Runs and drives EXCELLENT. Odometer broke last month and I purchased a new used instrument cluster that goes with the car, it reads 125K. On the new cluster. The miles are 100 percent accurate as its in been in stored indoors and hasn't been driven since. I also have many dollars in extra parts that can be included in the deal. Lenses, Alternator, power steering pump, filters, light bulbs, instrument cluster with new wood trim kit and chrome bezel kit with back lighting.
