*** 1999 Ford Ranger Pick-Up, Flex Fuel, Former Airport Vehicle with Low Mileage, LQQK***Up for auction is a very nice, dependable, well-maintained 1999 Ford Ranger Pick-up, with the Flex Fuel option and only 90k original miles. Even though this is your basic 'no frills' Ranger pick-up, it is equipped with the dependable 3.0 litre 6-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, power steering, AM/FM stereo radio, full size spare tire/jack and the longer 7' bed (see photo). This truck was used at an international airport on the tarmac and served as the escort vehicle for its safety manager. It was stored off-site in the evenings and hardly ever driven in inclement weather (IFR conditions). Airport vehicles are unique! By law, they are regularly inspected & must be maintained to the highest standards because you can't take any chances that a vehicle will break down or blow smoke while operating on the tarmac. As for airport drivers, they must pass a vigorous driving/security test before they are permitted to operate on the airport; they are also governed by a "0" tolerance safety policy for any safety (speeding) violations (you're fired). This truck always had a maintenance agreement with a local repair facility near the airport. It has not been abused in any way. Within the past year, a new radiator was installed along with new tires, brakes, battery, windshield wipers and a complete major tune-up. All of the fluids were changed when the radiator was replaced. It also has a current Md. vehicle emissions inspection certificate and a clear Maryland title. I can fax you copies of both documents, if needed. Before listing it on Ebay, it was inspected by an ASE mechanic and found to be in excellent condition. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere and it would be a great back-up vehicle for any family. It's great on fuel, especially with fuel prices approaching $5/gal.
