This is a 1965 chevy Malibu SS yes a real SS it's two door with bench seat. There is some rust as shown in the pictures The car is very restorable. It has been sitting in the same spot for over two years. It belongs to a friend who bought it 4 years ago and drove it for awhile. He always had intentions of restoring it but with out of town job and family just never got around to it and probably never will, so he decided to sell it before it totally rusted away. It is a small block V8 with automatic trans it will run with jumper and gas externally fed. The gas is old, carb will probably need to be rebuilt, The fuel lines and tank flushed. It was a running driving car when parked about two and a half years ago. The body itself is all there and fairly solid looks worse than it really is I don't know much about this car so if you have any questions please email me and I will get the answers as fast as I can and get back to you. I did take a closer look at the frame I could find no damage it appears to be solid He did drive this car for about a year before it was parked. It had an ignition problem when parked it now has a new distributor installed and will run with a jumper wire to distributor and gas poured directly into the carburator. On Feb-28-12 at 19:51:57 PST, seller added the following information: For all those Chevelle experts who tell me there is no such thing as a bench seat SS I found 40 pages of information on line, the following is what I found about the decoding the VIN THE VIN IS 1= chevrolet 3 8 = Super Sport 37= 2dr sport coup 5=model yr. A = Chevelle Atlanta GA 1 1 9 2 3 9 = production series number The 38 denotes malibu Super Sport Yes they did make a bench seat colum shift Super Sport buckets, console and floor shift was a seperate option .
