To see a short video on how this vehicle runs and sounds go to the following movie and enjoy: We are offering this nice NO RESERVE- 2 OWNER-1997 FORD EXPLORER XLT-AUTO AWD-5SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION with a CLEAN AutoCheck report. This SUV is in above average shape for the year and mileage, but I consider this a mechanic's special! I will explain as I go along. This is the XLT model which basically means it has a lot of nice extra equipment like power windows, door locks, tilt wheel, cruise control with steering wheel controls, A/C, power seats, power lumbar, deep tinted glass, AM-FM stereo with Cassette player, delay front and rear wipers, rear window defogger, rear cargo cover and much more! The 4.0 Litre 6 cylinder engine starts right up and idles nice and quiet. It is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission, and it's a little unusual but it actually comes with Automatic All Wheel Drive! The engine sounds good, the 4 wheel drive system works as it should, and the 5 speed transmission is fine, but here is where your mechanical ability will come in to save you a bunch of money. There is a check engine light on, and the clutch does not release, it grabs fine, but when you press on the clutch it does not disengage, so the only way you can drive it, is to start the vehicle in first gear and then speed shift. It's not easy to do, but it is possible as you can see in the video. I drove it home from the dealer (about 30 miles) just as it is, but if you have a long way to go I would recommend having it towed, or fix it before you leave here. The ABS equipped brakes work great and they stop the truck quickly, safely and in a straight line! The black paint is clean and shiny, it does have the typical ford rust over the rear wheel wells, but it is no where near as bad as others I have seen. Overall the exterior of this truck looks really nice. The gray cloth interior is exceptional, it is clean and does not exhibit anywhere near the wear and tear you would expect from a vehicle of this vintage! The drivers door does not open from the inside and some of the power locks do not work as they should, I don't know why, but this is very typical of almost all the Ford car's and truck's I have bought over the years. The stick that holds up the hood is missing. The tires are in great shape and should provide many miles of safe driving and they are mounted on the very nice and clean Ford factory aluminum alloy wheels! It even has valid PA state inspection stickers! To sum this all up this will be one hell of a deal for the right person! With a good clutch this vehicle would probably sell for around $6995, and even though the Kelly Blue Book Value on this truck is over $3600.00, with the issues it has, NO RESERVE, and my low near wholesale pricing policy you may be able to win this Explorer for less then 75% OFF that amount!! All my vehicles are for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early for any reason. Many of the vehicles are also driven so they may have a few more miles than is listed or shown in the pictures, but not too many, certainly not enough to affect the value of the vehicles. I have tried to be as honest and descriptive as possible but I'm not perfect, I occasionally will make a mistake or miss something . Please remember you are buying a wholesale vehicle and paying a wholesale price, not retail, so keep that in mind when looking at this vehicle, it is not a NEW car. Please read my feedback. We are offering this nice 2 OWNER-1997 FORD EXPLORER XLT-AUTO AWD-5SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION with a CLEAN AutoCheck report. This SUV is in above average shape for the year and mileage, but I consider this a mechanic's special! I will explain as I go along. This is the XLT model which basically means it has a lot of nice extra equipment like power windows, door locks, tilt wheel, cruise control with steering wheel controls, A/C, power seats, power lumbar, deep tinted glass, AM-FM stereo with Cassette player, delay front and rear wipers, rear window defogger, rear cargo cover and much more! The 4.0 Litre 6 cylinder engine starts right up and idles nice and quiet. It is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission, and it's a little unusual but it actually comes with Automatic All Wheel Drive! The engine sounds good, the 4 wheel drive system works as it should, and the 5 speed transmission is fine, but here is where your mechanical ability will come in to save you a bunch of money. There is a check engine light on, and the clutch does not release, it grabs fine, but when you press on the clutch it does not disengage, so the only way you can drive it, is to start the vehicle in first gear and then speed shift. It's not easy to do, but it is possible as you can see in the video. I drove it home from the dealer (about 30 miles) just as it is, but if you have a long way to go I would recommend having it towed, or fix it before you leave here. The ABS equipped brakes work great and they stop the truck quickly, safely and in a straight line! The black paint is clean and shiny, it does have the typical ford rust over the rear wheel wells, but it is no where near as bad as others I have seen. Overall the exterior of this truck looks really nice. The gray cloth interior is exceptional, it is clean and does not exhibit anywhere near the wear and tear you would expect from a vehicle of this vintage! The drivers door does not open from the inside and some of the power locks do not work as they should, I don't know why, but this is very typical of almost all the Ford car's and truck's I have bought over the years. The stick that holds up the hood is missing. The tires are in great shape and should provide many miles of safe driving and they are mounted on the very nice and clean Ford factory aluminum alloy wheels! It even has valid PA state inspection stickers! To sum this all up this will be one hell of a deal for the right person! With a good clutch this vehicle would probably sell for around $6995, and even though the Kelly Blue Book Value on this truck is over $3600.00, with the issues it has and my low near wholesale pricing policy you may be able to win this Explorer for less then HALF that amount!!

All my vehicles are for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early for any reason. Many of the vehicles are also driven so they may have a few more miles than is listed or shown in the pictures, but not too many, certainly not enough to affect the value of the vehicles.
