This vehicle is a POLICE SEIZED VEHICLE. This vehicle was literally driven off the lot of a used car dealership and used in a crime. The vehicle was not involved in a pursuit or traffic collision. The vehicle has been in police custody and has not been driven since May of 2009. Since this a police seized vehicle the BUYER is responsible for SMOG. The BUYER will be required to meet in person at the Roseville Police Department. Prior to taking possession of the vehicle the BUYER must go to DMV (DMV is approximately 10 minutes away from the Roseville Police Department) with paperwork provided by the Police Department and transfer the vehicle into their name. The BUYER will be required to show proof of new registration before the vehicle will be released to the BUYER. About the vehicle: First off I will list the problems with this vehicle. The vehicle has a dirty interior. The vehicle could definitely use a vacuum and maybe even a shampoo. There are spots and stains on the seats. Although cigarettes were found in the vehicle and it appears several cigarettes were broken (loose tobacco in the vehicle) the vehicle does not smell like smoke. However I believe the previous owner was a smoker. The vehicle has three of four paint peeling spots on the front bumper. The passenger side sun visor does not close all the way to the roof and hangs down about an inch an half. There are two burn marks on the driver’s front door near the window controls. There is a burn mark the size of a pencil eraser on the driver’s seat. The vehicle has a crack in the front windshield that will need to be fixed if the vehicle is going to be driven in California (within 10 days of purchase). The vehicle does not have any floor mats. The check engine light on the instrument panel lights up when the vehicle is on. Now the good: The vehicle only has 33735 miles. The vehicle has a radio with a single disc CD player. The vehicle has AC. The vehicle has cruise control. The vehicle has power mirror, windows, and locks. The vehicle has front driver and front passenger airbags. The vehicle has a working keyless entry. The vehicle has a new battery. I drove the vehicle around the block a few times and everything appears to be working normal. The brakes, steering, AC/heater, windows, lighting, radio, doors, etc., all appear fine. The unknown: The vehicle has been sitting in a secure impound lot for approximately 2 and half years. The vehicle was started up intermittently several times during that time period. The vehicle drives well but idles a little rough. Although the engine runs I am not a mechanic and cannot certify the condition of the engine or any other mechanical part of the vehicle. Like previously mentioned the Check Engine light comes on when the vehicle is started. The BUYER is buying this vehicle AS-IS. There are no returns on this vehicle. **All the pictures were not able to upload so make sure you read the description for items that are damaged on the car (dents, scracthes, burn marks, etc.)** I will provide my email and office phone number for any questions. For local buyers that want to see the vehicle in person I will try to accommodate them, my schedule permitting. Buyers can choose to bring a mechanic with them for a quick check of the vehicle. Fair warning ahead of time, I am a Detective and not a car salesman so my time showing the vehicle is going to be very limited. For legal reasons the vehicle cannot leave the impound lot, so test drives are not allowed. The only accepted forms of payment will be cash or cashier’s check.
