This vehicle is a POLICE SEIZED VEHICLE. This vehicle was literally driven off the lot of a used car dealership and used in a crime. The vehicle was not involved in a pursuit or traffic collision. The vehicle has been in police custody and has not been driven since May of 2009. Since this a police seized vehicle the BUYER is responsible for SMOG. The BUYER will be required to meet in person at the Roseville Police Department. Prior to taking possession of the vehicle the BUYER must go to DMV (DMV is approximately 10 minutes away from the Roseville Police Department) with paperwork provided by the Police Department and transfer the vehicle into their name. The BUYER will be required to show proof of new registration before the vehicle will be released to the BUYER. About the vehicle: First off I will list the problems with this vehicle. The vehicle has a small dent (approximately nickel size) on the passenger side front fender near the passenger door. There are a few scratches and dings on the front passenger door. The exterior radio antenna is missing. The button on the automatic shifter sticks a little when shifting from park. The button for the center console drink holder is broken, but still operable. Now the good: The vehicle has a 6 speaker Lexus Premium Sound System with tape deck and 6 disc CD changer. The vehicle has nice faux wood paneling on the steering wheel and parts of the front dash. The vehicle has a 2 memory capacity for driver's seating positions. The vehicle has auto side mirrors and a digital compass in the rear view mirror. The vehicle has power seats, windows, and doors. The vehicle has an internal garage door opener system similar to "Home Link". The vehicle has an automated sunroof. The vehicle has ECT for driving in the snow. The vehicle has heated front seats. The vehicle has driver and passenger airbags as well as side airbags in both front seats. The vehicle has the factory roof rack system. The vehicle has all the original floor mats and all are in good shape. This vehicle has a working keyless entry. The interior has leather seats. The interior is in good shape with minimal spotting. The vehicle does not have a smell of smoke and did not appear to belong to a smoker previously. I drove the vehicle around the block a few times and everything appears to be working normal. The brakes, steering, AC/heater, windows, lighting, radio, doors, etc., all appear fine. The unknown: The vehicle has been sitting in a secure impound lot for approximately 2 and half years. The vehicle was started up intermittently several times during that time period. The vehicle's battery needed to be charged, but once charged has held a charge. Although the engine sounds and runs good I am not a mechanic and cannot certify the condition of the engine or any other mechanical part of the vehicle. The BUYER is buying this vehicle AS-IS. There are no returns on this vehicle. I will provide my email and office phone number for any questions. For local buyers that want to see the vehicle in person I will try to accommodate them, my schedule permitting. Buyers can choose to bring a mechanic with them for a quick check of the vehicle. Fair warning ahead of time, I am a Detective and not a car salesman so my time showing the vehicle is going to be very limited. For legal reasons the vehicle cannot leave the impound lot, so test drives are not allowed. The only accepted forms of payment will be cash or cashier’s check. The BUYER will be required by DMV to pay sales tax on the vehicle at the time of registration.
