Vehicle Detail
Please do not bid or make offers if you can't pay. This is a very fairly priced car thousands below NADA. This is why I am relisting it. Selling my fathers originally owned Saab Convertible that was hardly used. He owned ten other cars and this was part of the fleet down in sunny Florida. He passed in 2008 and along with other assets we brought this back to NY. He had a ten car garage so this car as you can tell by the paint was never left outside! This is the only reason for sale is we don't need a third car. That and I am paying $100/ week to store the car in my neighbors driveway as we only have a two car driveway!! If you check the free Car Fax you will see how meticulous he was. Every lube, oil, grease rotation is documented. Find the details below -45,235 MILES - 4-CYL with TURBO gets 32mpg - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - HEATED SEATS -OIL CHANGE 1/24/2012 - STEERING WHEEL AUDIO CONTROLS -NEW BRAKES -NEW TIRES -NEW TERMINALS -NEW BATTERY -POWER PASSENGER & DRIVERSIDE SEATS I understand the car has $500 - $600 in issues but Saabs are known to last over 300,000 miles and this baby was hardly used. It’s the kind of car you can use for a few years, sell and get every dime you paid back for it. The car has a NADA retail value of $8,937. I encourage buyers to go on autotrader.com look up my same car and same miles (you will have to leave the leather and CD player out as most others for sale don’t have these limited features). You will see the asking price is near double! They range from $8,500-$11,500 (if I remember correctly) so if it doesn't sell here I will put it on their site and run it until it sells! Obviously it’s a bad economy. I think asking $4,000 less then what others are priced as and $3,000 less then NADA RETAIL is almost too good to be true! This is a chance for someone to get a great deal! I could fix the few issues and then raise my price to $8,500 but I don't have the time and I need some good Karma! There are a few issues and I am very honest so here they are: -The front and rear bumper have a shopping cart ding on it. (AS PICTURED). A $10 can of touch up paint would fix this 80% of the way. Two different body shops offered to make the bumpers look brand new for $250. (As per Car Fax in 2008 an elderly gentlemen backed into my wife and insisted on going through insurance. I told her ask for $100 and move on. He was stubborn to the point that she even said forget it and just drive away, he still wanted to call the police. After all the bickering the cops came and wrote an accident report. Due to this my insurance and his insurance premiums both increased, needless to say he called me a week later apologizing and wishing it could be undone. Gotta love New York States no fault policy. -As Pictured there is a large tear in the driver side seat (my father was a heavy set man). A simple seat cover or pad will minimize the asthetics of this, as the mechanics of the seat still fully function. My dry cleaner had there seam-stress come out one day and quoted me $75 to sew it and have it look almost new -The Heat/AC display is Jargled but both still work with no issues -The Soft Top doesn't go down automatically it has to be done manually. I know this is a bummer. I was told this by my father and I never really messed with it. It could be anything from off the track, a pully, band, ANYTHING SIMPLE. To be fair I asked Saab the worst possible scenario, they said the Soft Top Motor. I then went on ebay and the part is $299. Saab said it would cost two hours at $105 an hour to install. I called three local reputable mechanics who all told me it would be 45 minutes - 1.5 hours at $85 an hour. So your talking around $400 to fix WORST CASE SCENARIO. ***MY BROTHER OWNS SHIPPING COMPANY. I CAN HAVE THE CAR SHIPPED ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY FOR AROUND $550. IF IT’S GOING TO CALIFORNIA IT MAY BE SLIGHTLY HIRE. THIS IS A HECK OF A DEAL*** Please email me with any questions I usually reply within ten minutes.
