I've used this Toyota has my primary vehicle for the last three years. The engine and transmission have been inspected and are in good shape. The 3TC engine is a tank and is really a lot of fun to drive. Within the last two years the carburator was replaced to a remanufactured Weber, and the thermometer, and water pump were replaced. The alternator and voltage regulator have also been replaced within the last year. Even though the major parts are in good shape, the car has been sitting for the past six months because I went on a deployment and now the brakes are stuck and need to be fixed. Other than the stuck brakes: the rear fenders are rusted through, some of the original paint has faded, and the upholstery has some rips. All in all I believe that this Toyota is a great shape considering its age. It certainly needs some work and I had planned to be the man to make this car beautiful again but I just don't have the time and I hate watching her just sit in my yard. It's been a blast owning this old Corolla because I've had so many strangers tell me stories about how this was their first car. (: Full disclosure: the odometer only has five digits.
