Vehicle Detail
1992 Porsche 911, Type 964, Carrera 2, Sunroof Coupe. Amethyst Metallic / Black Leather. Good overall condition. H&R Coilovers adjusted to 'Factory European ride height, 17" Porsche Cup 1 wheels, w/ Sumitomo Tires, secondary Muffler By-Pass pipe, OEM Air filter box (no mod), Dash cover (minor sun cracks from airport parking), A/C blows ice cold, Factory Owners manual w/ pouch, underbody aero panels in place. Drives / Shifts well. Minor oil seeping at lower crack-case seal, quite common in the 3.6 liter engines. Recent oil-change and safety inspection by qualified Porsche Technician. I have been a long time Porsche owner/driver. I purchased this car to use for PCA Driving Events and the car has mostly remained in the garage parked next to other sports cars that I have no time to enjoy anymore and sorry to say, will most likely be sold as well. This 964 is a good daily driver that I believe will appreciate in value over time. Thanks for looking and Happy bidding! On Feb-18-12 at 15:49:35 PST, seller added the following information: Dear eBay Bidders and Watchers - Thank you for your compliments on the Car. I’d like to address most of your questions as best I can. Is the Title Lien Free? Yes, the Title is clear without any liens entered! Is the car available for local pick-up? Yes you can drive it home! Do I have the Title? Yes, I have the Title ‘in-hand’! Have I used the car as a road-only vehicle? Yes, the car has not been on a racetrack during my ownership, although that’s where I’d love to take it if I had the time! It will make a great weekend warrior at your local PCA/SCCA events! Owner number/history? I spoke at length with the last owner who lived in Illinois and said he purchased the car from the original owner, a Dr. that lived in the south and moved eventually near Chicago. It checks out with carfax and autocheck! Why am I selling such a nice car? I’ve been too busy to enjoy the car and a family business project has taken all available free time! So enjoy the car yourself! This particular car has all its pieces intact and would be classified by collectors and enthusiasts alike as a “driver”, a classic car that can be enjoyed as-is or restored to near original condition as many Porsche aficionados are doing at this time. I bought the car to use at PCA events and have not had time for even one such event. From the responses I’ve received, I wish you good luck enjoying the great events at the local and region levels this season! The type 964, Carrera 2, is the last of the classic, air-cooled, narrow body Porsche 911’s. I believe these early 1990’s cars have been over-looked for too long and are starting to be ‘discovered’ both as a timeless design and a true automotive icon! Thanks again and Happy Bidding!
