Up for auction is a California car that has zero rust and has been fully restored from the ground up. I purchased this car for my father who was a certified Datsun/Nissan mechanic for twenty years. Next, he tore the car down to just a rolling chassis and sent it out for body work and paint. The body had minor rust in the rear hatch panel, kick boards, and fuel fill orifice, all rust was removed and $8,000 later the vehicle was restored to it's original color via rotisserie. In the meantime, the motor was torn down and completely overhauled and an N42 head installed along with headers and custom exhaust. The five speed transmission was also gone thru at this time. Once the vehicle was returned from paint, the powertrain was reinstalled along with the following, new connectors on all injectors, thermo time switch, Nissan alternator and starter, complete tune-up, clutch, plate, and flywheel, belts, battery and holdowns, new clutch master and slave cylinder, custom maded driveline. Now onto drivetrain, rear differential was completely overhauled, the front halfshafts were rebuilt, the front end received new bearings, has cross drilled rotors, and four piston calipers, new struts-Tokico, new springs front & rear, front strut bearings, camber, balljoints, 7/8" sway bars front and rear. Exterior of car has all new weather stripping, windshield, side mirrors, new emblems, hood and fenders, grill, wiper arms, front spoiler. Next onto the interior replacements, $1700 replacement dash, steering wheel, console, seats recovered, carpet, sound deadener, head liner, sun visors recovered, and new locks. It also has factory A/C, however the system was never charged because it was not needed in Oregon. The car also has Datsun wheels with Goodyear directional tires 75%, final thoughts because I am sure that I am forgetting something, the interior of the car as well as everything under the hood was painted while stripped and the complete car has been undercoated. Also comes with the factory repair manual and only has 250 miles on build. You will not find another Z-car this close to show room quality for this price. I purchased the vehicle from the third owner in Sacramento Ca as a gift for my father who resides in Oregon and is in the process of relocating to Reno.
